I mean, how do you not like Bobby Cox? You'd have to be a communist to not like John Smoltz. Throw in McCann (who may be one of baseball's best five fundamental hitters) and Francouer and you have 3 hours of fun.

Plus, they finally addressed their bullpen. If Kyle Davies pitches well I think they press for the division again. I think the wildcard comes from this division.

I do miss Mazone bobbing every game all game in the doug out, but McCann and Francouer in ten year will be loved as much as the Jones are now in ATL. I hope Joey Devine makes it, he has great potential. I think the biggest need this year is to get a real 1B man!

I do miss Mazone bobbing every game all game in the doug out, but McCann and Francouer in ten year will be loved as much as the Jones are now in ATL. I hope Joey Devine makes it, he has great potential. I think the biggest need this year is to get a real 1B man!

I think Thorman could develop into the first baseman, but not yet. I believe that, ultimately, Chipper will be the first baseman once his range at 3rd is gone. Of course, that's when we'll need a new third baseman.I think Andruw gets traded in the summer UNLESS the Braves are right in the thick of it.

McCann is a stud, and does great driving in runs, but he gets on base better than anyone else we could put in the 2 hole, so why not put him there and let Chipper Andruw and Francouer be the sluggers.

I'd give Johnson a little while longer to see what he can do with his OBP%. If he can't raise it, I'd do what you are suggesting. Not a base stealing team anyway, but that is a non-speed top of the order. Doesn't really matter, though, if they are hitting.

We have no speed, or we dont use the little speed we have.

Since furcal left the braves have not really been aggresive on the basepath. I know Francouer is fast enough to steal 15-20, but i dont think as a team that is their goal. I love small ball though.
