Fellas, i honestly thought he was gonna make some noise last night. boy was i wrong. did anyone else drop owen when they had the chance or not pick him up at all??

I had dropped him, then picked him back up thinking he was about to get on track again. Moeaki was the other TE I picked up... haven't gotten squat out of my TEs all year.

Try having Owen Daniels and Kellen Winslow as your TE's.

Both combined for 13 yards this week. Yipee.

I'm gonna wait one more week and see how he does against San Diego. There's just so much upside there.

For some reason, the Colts have defensed TE's exceptionally well this year. Don't know exactly why but here are the performances in the three weeks prior to the Wk 7 bye week.

Wk 6 Cooley 5/37/0

Wk 5 Moeaki 4/50/0

Wk 4 M. Lewis 2/22/1

Weird how the Texans were using DAniels last night. Moving him all around the formations like a WR and he seemed to have played most of the snaps. That tells me they are at least trying to get him involved.

In particular, one time they showed Antoine Bethea covering him man up. My hypothesis is that he just couldn't get separation with these types of formations going against quicker safeties and potentially CB's. Potentially better against LB's but only one more week to prove it in my book.

That tells me they were either tring to clear out coverage for Andre, or take secondary help away from the side Foster was about to run to.

Brilliant overreaction in this thread. Someone alluded to it in this thread but failed to mention that the Colts have been the stingiest defense against TEs this year.

The way i see it, the Texans are desperate for a thrid option on offense after Arian and Andre. Kevin Waler and Jacoby Jones suxor so there's room for Owen Daniels to step-up.

 He might quadruple his week 8 output next week.

What, are you not allowed to drop him anymore? Or are you just sad that you played him for some stinkers? I don't get it.

There is something oddly similar in his 1/9/0 in week 1 and his 1/8/0 in week 8, both vs the Colts.

Was the 5/79/0 vs KC a mirage? A mere blip? If so I really, really screwed up by thinking I was being smart picking up what I thought might be a No. 1 TE prosepect for teh remainder of teh season over the guy who really will be - Tamme.

The Colts give up the fewest FF points per game to opposing TE's.

San Diego the 3rd most.

Gotta wait out the results of the Bolts game, right? Problem for me is that it's a real roll of the die as he is needed to me bye week fill-in.

Last year was a huge year for TE's. This year, not so much. I was looking at the TE scoring in my league this season. The top TE in my league is Gates with 149 pts. Next closest? Marcedes Lewis with 85 and hes on the WW. To give you an idea of comparison, there are 17 WR's that have more points than that. Guys like Steve Johnson, Malcom Floyd, Dwayne Bowe and Santana Moss all have more points than every TE but Gates. Last year there were 11 guys that broke 100 pts at TE in my league. This year, there are only 5 guys that have a chance to meet that point.

TE was a huge crapshoot this year. Not worth the high picks thrown about. Now obviously, Clark and Finley might have been huge but who can really tell.

cool... 4 for 32 yds :lmao:

Never drop a TE before he plays SD.

Week 1: T.Moeaki (21yds, 1 TD)

Week 2: M.Lewis (70yds)

Week 3: J.Carlson (61yds, 1 TD)

Week 4: B.Patrick (12yds)

Week 5: Z.Miller (62yds, 1 TD)

Week 6: B.Bajema (34yds)

Week 7: A.Hernandez (54yds), R.Gronkowski (10yds, 1 TD)

Week 8: C.Stevens (29 yds, 1 TD)

Addendum: Unless they're a Card, a Ram, or Bo Scaife, NEVER drop a TE before he plays SD. :tinfoilhat:

Yes and Owen Daniels did have a setback in practice Friday. Texans didnt talk too much about it, but it was a setback none the less. Watch him this week in practice. If its a full go I would say start him. If he's still limited on Friday, use caution.

Still will hold onto him for Gates' bye week 10. There is not much more out there, and he is a very good talent, which usually rises at some point.
