Ideal draft postion in a PPR Initial Dynasty Draft (1 Viewer)

Given the choice of draft spots what draft position would you choose in a PPR Initial Dynasty draft?

Standard serpentine draft.

Take the #1 pick.

Either you grab Peterson which I feel will give you a competitive advantage for years to come or trade down a few picks to get some extra picks in the first few rounds to someone who think that Peterson will give them a competitive advantage for years to come.

Really a no loose situation.

So...AP plus a second tier WR > Lynch plus Fitz?
You're looking at it wrong. You have AD and TWO other top 25 players to start your dynasty.Edit: Just went and looked at FBG's dynasty rankings and without giving away specifics, if the draft followed the overall rankings 1-23, at 1.01 I'd be starting my team with AD, Steve Smith and Calvin Johnson. Not too shabby.

I see your point. Using the same rankings drafting in a middle position you could end up with Gore, Fitz and Calvin Johnson. The drop off at WR is not very much in the 2nd round.

the 1st item on your agenda, while there's still time, should be to convince the rest of your league to do an auction. doing a snake draft to kick off a dynasty league makes no sense when an auction is an option.

do that and, obviously, you won't really have a draft position.

barring that, i guess take #1, get ADP and have your league complain for the next 8 years that the only reason you were ever any good was b/c you got the #1 pick the 1st year.

I've been in one dynasty for 5 years where the guy picking first took LT2. He's never won a championship.

If your league draft does not use the Banzai Method... the #1 spot is best and its not even close.

And being a dynasty start up - having the best choice of of young stud RBs adds even more value for earlier picks.

If ADP goes at #1 is # 2 the next most valuable pick with LT? It is PPR, but LT is getting older.
It doesnt have to be LT (age). But it certainly is the most valuable. You get to make a decision based on your knowledge. As opposed to taking the scraps.
