They are almost a month old and so much has changed. With the bye weeks here, we have decisions to make and fresh Dynasty rankings would be a big help.
Thanks for the replyAnthony Borbely said:My usual time frame for the first in-season update of my dynasty rankings is sometime after week 4. I never update dynasty rankings any earlier than that. I like to let things calm down before posting my first revised set, because if I don't, then one or two games will have too much influence on the rankings. I can't say for sure that mine will be up before this weeks games due to serious time restraints, but they should be up next week if I don't get them done this weekend.
The trouble (as I said with my Dumervil dilemma) is to know where someone fits long-term, whereas you might cut ihim in a redraft he might have value in a dynasty especially if he's on a cheap contract. And yes, I realize the default is 7 - I was just suggesting that, if there are no rankings in the past 7 days, that it could default to 14, and if there are no rankings in the past 14 days, it could default to 21, and so on. (It's fairly easy to implement, and I've already offered to help out on the programming side of things - I promise we could do some interesting things with that data!).The other issue is that the dropdown doesn't show up if there are no rankings in the past 7 days, since the rankings are in the grid itself. If that was there at the top, it would make it a little easier to deal withI really struggle to find the time to do dynasty rankings justice during the season. I'll make an effort to do monthly rankings, but no promises unfortunately. Always available to respond to specific questions on either half of the IDP Forum, however. The Lineup Dominator has forward projections, customizable to your scoring system, from John Norton updated weekly. They won't be dynasty rankings, but they'll give some idea of where the current players stand and provide a decent approximation of an IDP Top 250 Forward. You can adjust any of the ranking pages by (1) changing the pulldown menu with the number of days to look back or (2) changing the default number (7) in the URL for the page to whatever you wish (usually either 35 or 200). The default is seven, so that older rankings don't skew the newest rankings during the peak preseason dates.
Try checking an offensive skill player. There are some who update those frequently. Once they are up, you can change the default and positions to look back. I know, it's just a pain in the ### when it could just default. (For what it's worth, it's a fairly simple thin to implement. I've offered my programming skills multiple times and have been told they aren't neededThe trouble (as I said with my Dumervil dilemma) is to know where someone fits long-term, whereas you might cut ihim in a redraft he might have value in a dynasty especially if he's on a cheap contract. And yes, I realize the default is 7 - I was just suggesting that, if there are no rankings in the past 7 days, that it could default to 14, and if there are no rankings in the past 14 days, it could default to 21, and so on. BUMPAny planned date for updated dynasty IDP rankings such that we can start seeing the averages amongst 3-4 of the staff? For folks playing in dynasty leagues, these are likely one of the most needed, and useful, aspects of our subscriptions.TIA
