idp dynasty rankings (1 Viewer)

I know that Borbely (after Week 4), Bloom, Pasquino and others have done inseason dynasty IDP rankings sporadically in past seasons. I can only speak for myself here, however.
Every year, I try to find time to do dynasty rankings once a month. I never seem to get to it -- for two reasons.
First (and most importantly), it's a time thing. Just not enough hours in the week (or month, as it were) to do them justice -- which is primarily because of the second reason. My dynasty philosophy is really, really hard to reflect in a rank list. Essentially, my dynasty list from August onward is nearly identical to my redraft list. And, depending on what kind of league you're in, the players between 30 and 60 will be different based on your current roster makeup, window of contention, depth philosophy, etc. Given the variation in waiver wire, lineup, draft questions I get from those of you in dynasty leagues, a simple rank list would seem to prompt more questions than it answers.
In the past couple of years, I've tried to do some tier updates to give an helicopter view of my current redraft thoughts, then include a tier of watch list guys (current backups with upside, unseen rookies with upside, etc.) for dynasty leagues. Whether you rank that tier ahead of the veteran, matchup LB3 tier with more immediate value and less long term value goes to the issues above.
The next two weeks are going to be crazy for me (outside of FBG) but I'm hoping to run the major positions in the RTD over the next 2-3 weeks. And I'm always available to compare/contrast here, by PM, email, etc, within reason

That in no way means that we haven't heard the call for regular dynasty rankings and don't misunderstand the value. We talk about it every offseason, as it's the single biggest request/complaint we hear every year. Unfortunately, there are still things we'd like to do on the IDP side, but haven't physically been able to get to yet (adding IDP to Rate My Team, dynasty rankings, consistency in the forward projections). For now, my best answer is that we're not intentionally ignoring dynasty rankings updates, but we don't yet have a clear plan either.
With luck, Tony will be able to provide monthly updates as he's done in the past. And I'll make sure my tier updates have a dynasty slant, too.

I've started working on mine and will try to get them up ASAP and keep them updated regularly.

Jene pretty much hit the nail on the head. The time issue is the biggest problem considering our other duties here, not to mention the other parts of our lives. For me personally, I am lucky to finish my articles every week. It takes a few hours and has to be done in the middle part of the week. That is hard enough by itself for me because I am a full time college student and have a very busy and demanding schedule of classes and the middle of the week is the busiest time for me by far at school. It also means I have to spend the majority of my non-football watching weekend keeping up and getting ahead with my classwork. I have to have a few free hours midweek to do my articles and they are top priority. For me personally...I never have and probably never will post any dynasty rankings until after week 4. I want to see more than a game or 2 before adjusting. It is way too easy to overreact to a good or bad game or 2. After 4 weeks, I feel reasonably comfortable doing not only dynasty rankings, but addressing over and under performers for the balance of the season (such as whether Posluszny will suck all year or whether Mason Foster is for real). I don't want to be swayed by a great game or 2. Barring a major time problem this week, I hope to have mine up by the end of next weekend. I normally try to update them within 2-3 weeks at the latest for the balance of the season, again, barring time restrictions.
