IDP Only Leagues (1 Viewer)

Does anybody who frequents the IDP Forum currently play in an IDP Only league? Or formerly played in one?

I'm looking to develop one and would love some links to All-IDP leagues so I can take a look at league rules, scoring, positions, etc.

I'm happy for links to be posted here or sent to me via PM if it is not for public display for some reason.

TIA, Grimmett. :brush:

No link but played in one a couple of years ago.

The postions were:

DE DT DT DE

LB LB LB

CB S S CB

16 teams with a roster of 25 to ensure there wasn't too much of an abundance of talent on the FA pile (being solely IDP and all).

As for scoring, it came down to parity between positions vs simulation of reality.

In regards to reality, we figured (and these are as good as I can remember):

TD's are still the most important aspect of the game (6 points), followed by;

Interceptions & Fumble Recoveries (4)

Sacks (3)

Fumbles Forced (2)

Safeties (2)

Kick/Punts blocked (2)

PD's (1)

Tackles (1)

Assists (.75)

No return yards.

I don't think I forgot anything there...

In the end it worked out fairly equal between positions. If I was doing it again I'd add in interception return yards.

Also, I think the more people you can get in the league the better it is (or just have more starting positions) due to the large amount of IDP talent readily available.

Anyway, just my

Ta chook. Weather alright in Melbourne?
Haha, about as good as it can get for footy season. Gonna be a cold one watching the Cats down at KP on Sunday!
Ouch! Ya know as a RFC member I really should be hiding from you and your Cats kin....
:X I wouldn't even be mentioning that on an American football website :D Went with my bro & mates the other night - they're all Richmond. Needless to say I had a good night.

Blatant bump for this thread.

Apologies for the weather and footy report, we now return you to your regularly scheduled All-IDP league question and answer show.

Ba-dump.Anybody?Also, what about leagues with Punter scoring?
I play in one league with Punters.... I'm not the commish and not sold on it, but its entertaining. The top punter under this format scored about as much as Chris Chambers and Michael Boley. The #6 was around Stallworth and Shockey, and the #12 was near Desmond Clark and Chris Brown. Week-to-week the points are "relatively" consistent.
Code:
Punts 0-25 0.5 points eachPunt Yards 0-999 1 point for every 50Punts Inside 20	0-20 1 point each
For IDPs, I'm guessing you checked the Phalanx rules on Zealots?

Thanks PranksterJD. I'm reasonably aware of Phalanx.
