We are sending it to Apple on Monday or Tuesday. They usually take two weeks to approve it. We will release the web link upon approval for all other smart phones (blackberry, android, winmo, etc)How soon?
the app has nothing to do with the forums. You can surf web pages without the use of an app.Easier to view/reply in the forums with the app?
Would love to see that. Only time I ever fire up Parellels is for baseball and football drafts. Is the mobile app gonna be ported for Android too? What are the chances of a Mac version of DD? Is it in the works at all?
Bootcamp is your friend if you have an Intel based Mac. If not, use VirtualBox to install a virtual copy of Windows and it solves the issue of programs not having a Mac based version. What are the chances of a Mac version of DD? Is it in the works at all?
VirtualBox/Parallels/Fusion all require Intel-based Macs (which likely isn't a problem, since they've been Intel-based for several years now). But the real issue is that these solutions (including BootCamp) require shelling out a couple hundred bucks for the Windows license. Fine if you're doing a lot with it, but not so great if you just want to run DD once a year.An actual Mac version of DD would be great. Much better than running it in a virtualized Win environment. But it ain't gonna happen anytime soon, judging from David's lack of response everytime it is brought up.While the iPhone app may look cool, it's essentially an FBG marketing tool to sell the Windows-only DD product. As a long-time subscriber and longer-time Mac user, I can't say this doesn't sting a little. (Not that it will prevent me from downloading it too.)Bootcamp is your friend if you have an Intel based Mac. No need for the attitude from a mod here. I don't know if you intended it but that came across as pretty condescending. I'm posting from my iPhone in the forum right now. I understand how this innerweb thingy works. I hear they even have it on computers now!I was just asking an innocent question...an app that makes it easier to read and especially reply in the forums would be greatly appreciated. As a big fan of FBGs I'll still check this out.David Dodds said:the app has nothing to do with the forums. I'm positive David didn't mean to come off as condescending.Keith Overton is looking into whether the Invision software will support Tapatalk, which apparently makes the mobile use of message boards much easier. It's a different kind of app than what David is previewing here, however, which is designed for content only. The Tapatalk app wasn't compatible with Invision last month, but may be now. If it is, Keith will let us know soon.No need for the attitude from a mod here. I don't know if you intended it but that came across as pretty condescending. Thanks. I doubt he meant to come off that way...certainly did though. A simple "no" would've sufficed. I know that I can browse the forums with my iPhone, no need to redundantly point that out to me unless he's being snippy.Regardless, I appreciate the work David and the rest of the crew does around here and look forward to the content based app. And I'm definitely excited to see if there is a way to make the message boards more user friendly on mobile devices. I sent Keith a message as soon as they updated that a few weeks ago. If there's no problems, I assume he'll be adding it soon.According to tapatalk, they now support invision boards like this.
