It appears that Belichek is content using him as a decoy. Cassel is killing Moss's value. And I've considered dropping his @rse a couple times. My co-owner won't let me. The only year I ever went WR/WR in the first 2 rounds and it's killing me (Moss/Owens).
Did the same thing.. I no longer own either of them though. Makes me think twice about trying it again next year if I get a late redraft choice. But Moss is terribly inconsistant without Brady. It appears that Belichek is content using him as a decoy. Think about that statement for a second.no matter what, I will NEVER start Randy Moss over Calvin Johnson or Breaston again.
I've learned my lesson on the WR/WR strategy. I had the 12th pick so I went Moss and Wayne. It really seems like the right decision when you are looking at LJ or Drew at the turn but next year I'm just going to reach for backs that I want on my team if I'm in that same situation again. You can always make a living off the flavor of the month WR and play the matchups instead of being forced to start your STUDs and watch them do nothing. Good point. I should have added *as long as Tom Brady is NOT Randy's QB.Think about that statement for a second.no matter what, I will NEVER start Randy Moss over Calvin Johnson or Breaston again.
No, I'm not saying you're wrong. My point is, could you even imagine that coming out of your mouth back in August?Good point. As jacked up as it sounds, I cant drop him but cant start him. Started M. Bradley over him. I think I made the right choice.Cassell is an absolute, incompetent boob. God Moss is wide open and this dumb #### overthrows him. The funny thing is even if he throws it anywhere in the vicinity of things, Moss can jump and catch it.
Damn. Maybe Bradley wasnt as good of a choice. Damn you fantasy gods!As jacked up as it sounds, I cant drop him but cant start him. Started M. Bradley over him. Do NOT start him against the Raiders....Asomugha will be all over Moss in that one. But Seahawks and Zona will be great match ups no doubt.snorlax said:If you look at Moss's season, he has been the epitome of a matchup player with Cassel throwing to him. His good games were against the Chiefs, 49ers, Broncos, and Rams, and none of those teams are striking fear into opposing quarterbacks. I think I'll strongly consider sitting him down against the Steelers, but his playoff schedule of Seahawks, Raiders, and Cardinals is looking pretty good.
Yes should have been 3 TDs....but I will take the last one. Better than the 3 pts I was gonna get otherwise.jcuadrado said:should have been the 3rd td for moss....but NOooooooooooo....Cassel just can't seem to complete passes to Randy.....
But on the flip side, if there is any game that Moss will want to star in, it would probably be against the Raiders. And Moss is one of those players where you have to pay attention to outside factors like that.Do NOT start him against the Raiders....Asomugha will be all over Moss in that one. I don't necessarily think the strategy was bad nor do I think the picks were bad. If Brady was healthy, you would be looking like a genius making those picks.Johnny Ice said:I've learned my lesson on the WR/WR strategy. I had the 12th pick so I went Moss and Wayne. I disagree completely. He was there on multiple plays throwing blocks for the run game. He was pumped on the sideline trying to get the Pats back into it. He was celebrating even more than Gaffney was when Gaffney caught his TD.he just didn't seem to be playing hard in this game. i think he should have gotten to the long bomb. he looked like he gave up on it and was only giving half an effort ... even collinsworth commented that he didn't seem to be mentally into the game.
Negative, Ghostrider. Aso-soup plays exclusively on the offense's left side. Moss lines up (from what little I've seen of the Pats this year) a majority of the time on the right. Welker is the one likely to lose stats vs. the Raiders.Do NOT start him against the Raiders....Asomugha will be all over Moss in that one. They move him back and forth quite a bit, but I wouldn't be surprised to find that he has been on the offense's right > 50% of the time.Moss lined up on the left most of the time last night.Negative, Ghostrider. Ooh, yeah, your team would have been a lot better with LJ.Johnny Ice said:I've learned my lesson on the WR/WR strategy. I had the 12th pick so I went Moss and Wayne. You did the right thing. I picked 11/12 this year and went TO/Wayne (Moss went 8th) in one league and Moss/Housh in another, so I feel your pain.If you go RB/RB, you're chasing the bottom of the barrel from there on out. If you go WR/WR to start, you get top-shelf WRs. If Brady was throwing and the Colts were their usual selves, you'd be owning. It didnt turn out like that this year... these things happen....I've learned my lesson on the WR/WR strategy. So what's your point? You took two WRs, one has been great and one has been mediocre. You could have taken two RBs, one has been great and one has been a total bust. You could have taken one RB and one WR, which could have gotten you two great players or a mediocre player and a bust. Sounds like the issue is selecting good players, rather than selecting players at a particular position.Johnny Ice said:Someone needs some comprehension skills because I did not say I would have taken LJ.CalBear said:Ooh, yeah, your team would have been a lot better with LJ.I've learned my lesson on the WR/WR strategy. Hang on. Have you ever gone RB/RB before, and have it not work out? Of course you have, if you have played FF for more than 2 years, you've gone RB/RB.The big thing I will say is that I actually think it is easier to pick up the flavor of the month at RB, and get better production. It seems like more players come out of nowhere, and can be counted on for points consistently, at RB. Which WRs this year were the flavor of the month that you could have counted on?I've learned my lesson on the WR/WR strategy. I had the 12th pick so I went Moss and Wayne.
