If the Cardinals build an Offensive Line. (1 Viewer)

Tonight Kevin Kolb put up decent stats with an Offensive Line that did nothing in the run game and sacked 8 times.

He was making plays, executing scoring drives. Especially the drive to force the game into overtime. You could not ask for better than what Kevin Kolb did tonight.

My question is, if Arizona builds a better line in the offseason what is his ceiling? Seems like a WR core of Fitzgerald, Floyd, Roberts, and Doucet isn't so shabby. Rob Housler? Looks like Whisenhunt is competent HC after all.

Might be a good time to acquire Mr. Kolb. Low cost, right?

I don't know what your league format is like so acquiring Kolb may or may not be a sound move, but I would like to say that when acquiring almost any offensive fantasy football player in the NFC West you must now consider the defenses they will face twice per season. Arizona, Seattle, and San Francisco can be shutdown and even St. Louis appears to be making strides defensively. I think marginal players can be fantasy landmines in a lot of weeks in that division.

Kolb will break your heart -- he's fools' gold.

Can look very good when there isn't pressure up the middle or in his face. Most of the QB pressure he faced today came off the edge via Cameron Wake. He still took too many sacks and threw a terrible pick in the end zone. He redeemed himself but there's a reason he lost to John Skelton this preseason.

Keep in mind the Cardinals are a great home team and a rotten road team over the past several seasons. Have to figure that in as well.

Kolb will be inconsistent but should be rostered as a low end QB2.

Agreed, horrible pick in the red zone but the guy has a bit of a gunslinger mentality that I like. He kept firing and made a bunch of big time plays including the game tying TD on a huge 4th down throw. How did that rotten road team fare in Foxboro a few weeks back?

This is better than the Checkdown charlie we have seen through most of last season. At least if he has the gunslinger mentality, he will put up some fantasy points.either way, I suffered with Him & Skelton on my roster last year, and together over the course of the season, the numbers werent bad, but you were praying every week for a good performance cuz you didnt know what you were gonna get.Honestly, I like Kolb and hope he does well, but it was tough having him on my team last year.

That end zone INT shouldn't have happened and without the D carrying the weight, the Cards should have lost. Besides that pick, his decision making has actually been adequate.

He's a weird case because I think he has a noodle arm, yet he seems to throw a nice deep ball. His short range and intermediate stuff always flutters and seems to hit guys in the shoes though.

He learned that from Donovan
