Just looking for some general feedback here....12 team re-draft..

In addition to the round you took your QB, who did you take? why? and over whom?

9.01 Kitna

13th QB off the board. It was between Kitna and Roethlisberger. I went with the one who's going to have to be throwing a lot. Was hoping I could sneak back around and grab Big Ben as my backup but wasn't able to do so.

I took Kitna at the 6/7 split. Went with stud WRs @ 2/3 (Smith,TO) got Green/A Johnson @ 3/4. There was a run on QBs in the 3-4 rounds but somehow Kitna got overlooked so I snagged him and Julius Jones. Hasselbeck, Cutler, Rothelsomething were the next QBs taken. Would've been ecsatic with Hass there but Kitna/Martz was too tough to pass up. Backed him up at 10/11 split with Leinart.

Took Brees at 4/5. went rec. after LT and got Wayne and TO,took McAllister and A.Green to go with LT at RB. Was going to waoit at QB but couldn't resist Brees when he became available.

10 Team re-draft.

LT2 first...

Then took Kitna at last pick 4th round, Roy Williams 1st pick 5th. Im a big fan of the hook-up!!

Brees was gone and I had to get a QB asap...they were flying off the board in my draft.

In my league, the dude that picked first had STEVE SMITH and Carson fall to him. So of course he paired those 3 up. Ridiculous lineup.

12 team start up dynasty

i took kitna with the 7.04 pick as my first qb (18th qb off the board)when most everyone had two qb's. i wanted to get him as my backup and get a top tier guy. but a huge run went in the first and second(startup dynasty) so i waited to get "value" so i ended up with kitna 7.04(qb#6 last year) who i like this year. rex at 12.12(qb #13 last year) who scares me,i hope he gets better and harrington at 20.12 can't beat picking up a starting qb at this point even if its joey. i am shakey at qb since this is a dynasty, and need to improve them. but i like my team

1st league: Big Ben/Romo at 8/9 (12 teams)

2nd league: McNabb in the 6/7th.. Drafted August 11th, people were scared he was injured, I think.. and they suck.. (10 teams)

3rd league: Kitna/Big Ben at 8/9.. (10 teams)

In my 10 teamer, there was a QB run and the top 6 were gone by pic 34. I went WR WR at 20/21 and waited til the 8/9 turn and picked Romo and Young. My RB's and WR's are the best in the league at the expense of the QB spot. Overall, I am happy, but would rather of had one of the top 6 QB's fall to me at 40/41 as I don't like chasing the QB spot all year.

I took Vince Young 8-11 and Big Ben in round 9-3 (I had two picks in the 8th round) at that point Linert, grossmans, farve, losman, delhomme and Cutler were about the only other choices.

Young was just a value pick he is not someone that I targeted but he was my 7th raqted QB and he was 13th one picked in my league. His ADP is 7-4 so I got him a round and a half later. On the plus side running QB's always seem to put up good numbers in our league (and be undervalued in the draft). But I am not a fan of his and I am a little uneasy.

Rothlisberger is someone I did target I had him as QB #9 and got him rgith at his ADP. He is a bit of a homer pick (my wife is a steelers fan) and I do think he will play better this year after really being rushed back last year.

WTF
Same for both picks at the turn. How is the #1 guy at all 3 positions on one team?

6.12 Cutler 10th QB taken

8.12 Romo 14th QB taken

I was looking at the following QBs on my 6/7 turn. I figured I would take Cutler and hope that Hass, Lienart or Romo would be available at the 8/9.

Jay Cutler Den/6

Matt Hasselbeck Sea/8

Eli Manning NYG/9

Matt Leinart Ari/8

Tony Romo Dal/8

Ben Roethlisberger Pit/6

Eli in the 7th in a 16 team redraft, could have gone with palmer/bulger/brees on the 2/3 but there were to many decent WR/RBs still on the board to pass on them, and as there is only -1 pt per int i targeted Eli, he'll throw a lot, will get a decent number of TDs for such a late pick and could end up as a bargain ..

Thanks for the responses...
I had LT in two of my small-money leagues.I got Big Ben both times in the 8/9 turn. He seems to be undervalued since a couple of teams in both leagues were already getting backup QBs at that point but he was still on the board.
He was available for me then too and I would've takne him as my 2 but he had the same bye as Kitna so I couldn't. Nobody took him until the 11th. He went late in most of my other leagues too.

Kitna in the 9th (9.01) and abcked him up with Leinart in the 10th...

1. (1) LaDainian Tomlinson

2. (20) Steve Smith

3. (21) Marvin Harrison

4. (40) Clinton Portis

5. (41) Edgerrin James

6. (60) Ahman Green

7. (61) Michael Turner

8. (80) Santonio Holmes

9. (81) Jon Kitna

10. (100) Matt Leinart

11. (101) Isaac Bruce

12. (120) Jacksonville

13. (121) Owen Daniels

14. (140) Matt Stover

15. (141) Chris Henry

Took TO & Wayne at the 2/3 turn. Then followed up with A Green/Braylon Edwards at the 4/5 turn. I could of had Bulger, Hass, Rivers, Leinart at the 4/5 turn. I followed up with Cooley & Calvin Johnson at the 6/7 turn. I could of had Kitna & Roethlisberger at the 6/7 turn but opted to wait. I was able to grab Cutler at 8.12 and Favre at 10.12. There were no other QBs worth discussing on the board at that time.

So my team looks like this

1.01 LT

2.12 TO

3.01 Wayne

4.12 A Green

5.01 B. Edwards

6.12 Cooley

7.01 Calvin Johnson

8.12 Cutler

9.01 Lamont Jordan

10.12 Favre

11.01 M. Turner

12.12 Pollard

13.01 Leon Washington

14.12 Seahawks

15.01 Josh Scobee

Overall I feel pretty good about my team.

It is a 12 team redraft with 1pt/rec, 4pt pass td 6pt rush/rec td

12 team redraft:

1.01 - LT2

2.24 - Steve Smith

3.25 - Harrison

4.48 - Caddy

5.49 - Brady

6.72 - Fred Taylor

7.72 - Lendale White

8.96 - Galloway

9.97 - Hasslebeck

TD heavy, RB and WR get points only with 100+ yards. QB gets points with 250+ yards

1.01 - Tomlinson

2.10 - M. Harrison

3.01 - C. Palmer

4.10 - A. Boldin

5.01 - P. Burress

6.10 - Thomas Jones

7.01 - B. Berrian

8.10 - Ladell Betts

9.01 - LenDale White

10.10 - Lamont Jordan

11.01 - Isaac Bruce

12.10 - J. Delhomme

13.01 - J. Scobee

14.10 - Chris Brown

That's odd how each round has more and more picks. 97 picks in the ninth round is crazy.

Kitna 7Big Ben 11
Might want to check on your bye weeks. I passed on Roth since they'll both be watching games on the tube week 6.
I'm well aware of the bye weeks. I never pass on a player with superior talent based on the bye week alone. I have Roth projected in the same tier as Kitna. He was still there and it was a no brainer. I'll figure out week 6 later. But for now I have a very good backup for ALL the weeks (except week 6 of course)

this was a 14 teamer / IDP draft were I had #1.... I believe this was one of the best teams I drafted

1. (1) LaDainian Tomlinson RB

3. (29) Thomas Jones RB

4. (56) Lee Evans WR

1st pick in 12 team redraft league......

Took T.Romo at the 6-7 turn.

Manning, Palmer, Brady, Brees, McNabb, Kitna and Bulger were off the board!

Cory Withrow (foot), Michael Turner (ankle) and Eric Parker (toe) worked on the side yesterday. They were the only players to miss practice. Turner and Withrow ran and are expected to play Sunday

Was only able to get LT in one league. It's only an 8 team league, though.

I ended up taking Tom Brady with the first pick of the 5th round.

My draft went:

1.01 LT

2.08 Reggie Bush

3.01 Chad Johnson

4.08 Antonio Gates

5.01 Tom Brady

Followed by... Andre Johnson, Baltimore Defense, Marshawn Lynch, Carnell Williams, Santana Moss, Laverneous Coles, LaMont Jordan, Neil Rackers, Eli Manning & Michael Turner.

Gotta love 8 team leagues.

12 team 1 PPR, all TDs 6 pts, start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 PK, 1 DEF, 1 Flex WR/RB/TE

01.01 RB LaDainian Tomlinson

02.12 WR Larry Fitzgerald (7 WRs were already gone)

03.01 WR Torry Holt

04.12 RB Deuce McAllister

05.01 WR Laveranues Coles

06.12 QB Tony Romo

07.01 RB DeShaun Foster

08.12 TE Alge Crumpler

09.01 RB Leon Washington (probably should have taken Michael Turner here, as he went just before our pick next round)

10.12 QB Brett Favre

11.01 WR Jerry Porter

12.12 DE Denver

13.01 WR Mike Furrey

14.12 WR Roddy White

15.01 PK Robbie Gould

16.12 TE Dallas Clark

12 team, Rush/Rec TDs 6 pts, Passing TDs 4 pts - start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 PK, 1 DEF

01.01 RB LaDainian Tomlinson

02.12 WR Steve Smith :towelwave:

03.01 WR Reggie Wayne :excited:

04.12 RB Jamal Lewis :X (ridiculous amount of RBs taken prior)

05.01 WR TJ House :jawdrop:

06.12 RB Lendale White

07.01 D/ST Baltimore Ravens

08.12 RB Fred Taylor

09.01 QB Tony Romo

10.12 QB Brett Favre

11.01 WR Brandon Jones (WRs were that thin by then)

12.12 PK Adam Vinatieri

13.01 RB Brian Leonard

14.12 D/ST Green Bay Packers

15.01 WR Marty Booker  (Too many beers by then)

16.12 RB Chris Henry

Thought getting Romo was good value for waiting so long. Would have been just as happy with Leinart, Cutler or Big Ben

Big Ben in the 7th as the 13th QB selected. Went LT2/TO/Portis/Ahman/Plax in a 14 team leauge redraft.

I couldn't wait much longer - 4 qbs in the first 2 rounds (not typical). Campbell as a backup in the 12th (iirc)

Sunday was the first draft I've ever pulled a slot higher than 7th in my league. It's a non-PPR no-TE 12 teamer with bonuses for K's and D's so you can't just ignore them until the last rounds. My draft went:

1 RB LaDainian Tomlinson

2 RB Clinton Portis (big risk but possible huge reward)

3 WR Torry Holt (knee worries me but I couldn't pass him up)

4 RB Ahman Green (I'm big on Ahman, knowing he'd drop to here let me gamble on Portis)

5 QB Matt Hasselbeck (he was the 4th and last QB in my top tier & the others were gone CP, PM, MB)

6 WR Darrell Jackson (should be a solid #2 with #1 potential)

7 DEF Chicago (last year they outscored Reggie Bush, Lee Evans, Brad Johnson, etc.)

8 WR Derrick Mason (should be a solid #3 with #2 potential)

9 QB Jake Delhomme (He was the last of my 2nd tier QB's on the board here)

10 WR Muhsin Muhammad (meh)

11 RB Michael Turner (I normally don't like to handcuff but for an 11th I couldn't pass)

12 WR Roydell Williams (:crossesfingers:)

13 K Jason Hanson

14 WR Antwaan Randle El

Actually no matter how you go you should not have any problems with LT. If you pass on a QB to grab tasty WR's that should offset the slight point loss at QB. If you go straight to QB like I did then that should offset the slightly lower points your WR's will earn. Basically the deciding factor in my strategy is that WR's are far easier to shore up than a QB. There are very few QB's with upside available once the season starts. Sleeper WR's on the other hand pop up on the waiver frequently plus you can effectively play match-ups with mediocre WR's. I have better luck upgrading WR's so I went with a QB early to give myself a "plug in and leave" starter and an able bodied back-up.
