We are planning to pay for an aerial advertisement at the 49ers next home game. I'm sure the ad will be something like "Fire Nolan!". It's $450 for a six-time-pass over the stadium. If we go short message, they can do it all in Bold.

Update: The ad has been purchased at a cost of 450.00

The message will be flown over the stadium at some point in the first half.

It will read "Fire Nolan"

The ad message will be in lights like the good year blimp thing.

Glenn Dickey mentioned this effort in his online column on Dec 12. Matt Barrows mentioned it in his blog on Dec 11th

Were asking that anyone who wants to support this please send a check or money order for $30.00. I will give the address via email or private message.

Once 450.00 in donations have been received all additional donations will be returned to sender
Not sure if I should have posted it here or in FFA but oh well..

They should donate the extra money to the alzheimers association. Mike's dad died from that earlier in the year.

Oh I'm sure they will be.

Don't they have laws about flying unauthorized planes over stadiums during games? I don't see why they would allow this given the panic this country is in regarding terrorism.

i dont think that's funny. Nolan is a pretty classy guy. The 49ers suck balls. Not much any coach could do with that bunch of misfits.

Yeah I'd be surprised if this was legal. The whole flying a plane over a football game. If it isn’t other real businesses would be dropping $450 to fly over that large group of people (or not large when talking about the 49ers turnout this year) doing real ads.

Especially is said plane clearly has the word "Fire" advertised. Lets hope the Blue Angels don't read the banner as "Fire at Nolan" and decide to take it out.

I'm a 9ers Season Ticket holder and there are always message planes flying around the stadium so I beleive this can happen. As for the message, I think its too early to fire Nolan. But its time we start thinking that he may not be the answer. He has made some bad decisions this year. The offensive play calling is just about the worst I have ever seen from a professional franchise, ever.

Happens in St. Louis too all the time for day baseball cardinal games. There will be something over the stadium on the home opener on 3/31/08....

Oakland, last year down?

I think Nolan is a lousy HC, it looks to me like Norv Turner made that team 'go' last season, they stink without him..and who is responsible for promoting Jim Hostler to the position of OC? Mike Nolan...he has to take his lumps for that, no question about it..the good news: looking toward 2008, whats the chance that SF hires Cam Cameron as OC?! you know he's out in Miami in 3 weeks..

the guy is a dam good OC, the Chargers were a top 10 offense for YEARS with him around...

He'll have an athletically-gifted TE in Davis to work with , and a superb RB in Gore...and , for all their ineptitude in Miami, the Fish have been able to run the ball pretty well , all things considered.Ronnie Brown looked incredible until he got hurt..

and that was a suspect O-line to begin with, much as SF's line is...

But at the end of the day, the Niners overpaid for Alex Smith, who will make a lot of money and will never give back the ROI SF has made to him....he'll probably be out of football in 2-3 years...

and they traded their 2008 first rounder to NE, right?

and, isn't Larry Allen at the end of the trail? that would be a huge loss for them if he retired...

:goodposting: A voice of reason. Thank you Fro.Webzone = :shortbus:

Is Crazy George still around? I saw that guy once lead a drum chant where the crowd yelled "punt" whenever the Niners had possession of the ball. :lmao:

This was in the Erickson days.
