If you were drafting for the Steelers right now... (1 Viewer)

I was thinking about the Steelers struggles right now, and it seems that the last two games have come down to a couple of poor decisions or muffs. If not for these, the Steelers could be 3-1. It is pretty uncharacteristic of the team to be so undisciplined...and that needs to be taken care of. But I think they're pretty solid at most positions.

Despite his troubles, Big Ben is still the Superbowl winning franchise QB. You don't draft there.

Contrary to popular belief, I think their RBs are solid. If there is a hole in the running game, its in the O-Line.

Linebackers are still solid and the DBs are great to adequate.

We went WR in the first round this year, and we've yet to see any dividends there...do you address it again?

I think you've got to draft in the trenches. DL or OL.

For my money, Max Starks needs replacing. That would be my top priority. After that...more help on DE.

Definitely o-line and I think that was very evident in the losses to S.D and Jacksonville.

I would go with the o-line and you are correct that Starks is the weak link. But the whole line looked bad last night, even Faneca.

The Steelers also need depth at LB. If Harrison's injury is serious, they lost their best backup.

Watching Jamal Williams just bullrush Faneca last night was a real  moment. You just very rarely see that happen. Sometimes guys beat him with a spin around the end but I don't recall him ever just getting plowed like that before.

Can't do much but tip your hat.

chargers front 3 is dominate. Jamal has been the best NT in the NFL for three years now.

Really the biggest issue is Ben. Ben plays bad, you loose.

Also, the "hunger" just doesn't seem to be there.

I agree with OL and DL are main areas to address. Also I think its pretty evident that the "hunger" isn't there. More evident in the coaching than players but I'm sure its player disinterest as well. With all of the stuff the Steelers were doing sub-par I didn't see any screams or spit 1x from Cowher. He'll be riding off into the sunsets of North Carolina after this season.
