Graphics and presentation - ESPN.

Opening - while a bit too stylish for my taste - ESPN. (But isn't ESPN more style than substance anymore it seems?)

Talking heads - more on ESPN that are good, but Irvin is a detriment. They really need to reassess his presence.

Content - NFLN.

Working in game film is one thing. Working in combine footage is another. While lifting and running 40s and shuttles doesn't match game footage, there was one particular segment I couldn't help but watch - a few times.

Cutler and Leinart were "matched" throwing routes to WRs at the combine. Wheel routes, 15 yard outs, touch fades, square ins. The accuracy and the speed coming from Cutler was FAR SUPERIOR than Leinart. Now, this doesn't mean that Leinart isn't years ahead of Cutler reading a defense, but if the kid learns the playbook and how to read coverages, I fully would expect Cutler to excel.

That was the best segment of the weekend, IMHO.

Now I know why Cutler was higher on some boards than Leinart.

i had ESPN on mute for the graphics and video and i had the computer on NFL.com where they were simulcasting Sirius Radio NFL who was at the draft and did it live both days and it was AWESOME and it was free.

i watched the Network on TV for a little bit, but the real experts were on the radio. I can't believe THE NETWORK dropped the ball here. On Sirius you had Gil Brandt (who may not be everyone's favorite, but knows his stuff), same with Pat Kirwan who was there, and Randy Cross who is impressive and familiar with TV as well.

on THE NETWORK they have Chavis, Mayok (who's decent) and Eisen ... c'mon. those guys couldn't hold a candle to the stuff that was on the radio. great weekend!!!

I watched mostly ESPN. When I did watch the NFL Network, I thought the player roundtable was pretty good. I thought the main set with Dan Reeves and Butch Davis was horrible.

I actually caught Reeves saying to Butch Davis at the end of the 1st round, "Well, no real surprises, it went as expected. You nailed almost all of your picks." REALLY? No surprises? Was Butch Davis on record with those picks?

Another time Davis was grasping for names and couldnt think of who he was trying to comment about.

Berman was insufferable but I actually like Kiper.
