Great story. They did a week of these about a month ago and he was one of the stories.

He loves anything that can fit in his stomach. But yea, the entire eagles organization took him very very well.

I have to admit, that story had me a little moist in the eyes. With two young kids, I can't imagine what that meant to a young man that has to deal with so much in his life.

I have a very, very close friend who is afflicted with sickle cell. She's hospitalized probably 2 weeks a year and has to go to the clinic an additional 2 or 3 days a year.
While it's a very bad condition to have, I was suprised that it would warrant a Make a Wish trip. I was always under the impression that Make a Wish was for terminally ill who were likely passing within the year.

I think it's cool when these guys realize what a HUGE position of influence they have and take the time and effort to use it.
They made a gigantic impact on this kid's outlook on life. Andy Reid is a busy guy. There were lots of things he could have been doing that day. But he took time out to be cool. Same with the players.
