Has anyone ever seen an estimate or numbers guessing of descent (not free ones but ones where the owners really care and try hard) fantasy football leagues what percentage use head to head scoring (where they get wins and loses derived from a pre-set schedule like the NFL uses) or a total points method where the points are just added up and cumulated at the end of the season to determine the winner? I am not asking to argue the good and bad point of each but just trying to figure out if we can come up with any guess as to which is most used and by what kind of margin.

I was in 5 money leagues ($60-$450) last year. 3 used Head to Head with monetary reward for total points and the other two were based only on total points.

I will never play in a total points league again - In my opinion they are not competitive past the 1st few games of the year, except for the top few teams - unless this is a dynasty league, there is also no incentive for the poor performers to even try to put together a decent team = collusive trading.

That wasn't the question  I'd say less than 20% use total points.

I have never seen an open league or a new league forming that isn't head to head though (my main local is Total Points)

All play leagues are almost Total points leagues if you consider them maybe 25%

Way off base here. My big money league is total points and anything can happen all the way up to the end. Assuming that all/most of the owners know what they are doing, then your "first few weeks" theory is bogus. We also pay out for high week which keeps things competitive. Head-2-Head rewards luck.Overall points rewards the best team over the course of a full season.
