Just got word from my good Congressman that Bidens doc wouldn't allow him to fly to LI as he got ill on a trip to Lithuania.

Good news is I get out earlier and will have another evening for the dinner so I'll keep up with the thread.

Why are you meeting with him? Why would you even want to?

Was invited through business contacts and Congressman Steve Israel, who put this together, is someone we are pretty tight with (my mother helped on some of his early campaigns and we are working on a couple very large projects in his district).

More importantly, who would not want to meet with the Vice President, regardless of ideology or party affiliation? It's an almost shocking statement. Not in a starstruck way, but to actually look the man in the eye, speak with him. For one it's something an American should be proud of out of respect for our Nation and the position and also provides a rare opportunity to talk policy with one of the key individuals in DC. That is both interesting from a personal perspective and could be beneficial and enlightening as it pertains to business.

And while I couldn't care less, it's not bad to be seen in such company by other key movers and shakers in my area.
