I haven't had the chance to see either one of these teams play yet and am looking forward to it. Some things I want to see:
So YOU'RE part of the 50% of the country that doesn't get NFL RE-PLAY where despite their incessant pimping of Chad Johnson can't help but show every move Bush has made so far against the dregs of the NFL while Ocho Cinco only appears on EVERY commercial that appears religiously every 5 minutes.

I'm excited to see the game and I'm glad the NFL put the Saints Dome opener on the primetime schedule. But it's got 0 to do with Reggie Bush.
:goodposting: Really, it has nothing to do with any individual athlete. We should all be grateful that this game is being, and can be played there. This fact alone warrants the spotlight. The fact that its turned into a very good week2 matchup with great talents playing in the game is just icing on the cake
Please compare and contrast the individual merits of the cities of Los Angeles and New Orleans.Thanks.

Pittsburgh-Cincinnati, Indy-J-ville, 1 PM Sunday afternoon, ho-hum regional audience games.Yeah, Vick and Bush are exciting, but jeez, this is nothing more than Post-Katrina back-slapping grand-standing by the NoFunLeague.
 What a crummy topic to pick on. Those poor people have had nothing to rally around and Monday Night the spotlight will be on New orleans...the team is 2-0, have a hot rookie RB, are opening a stadium back up that was thought to have to maybe be condemned after the hurricane...Bless the people of NO...you don't take a potshot at something like this.Go Saints!!!
How politically correct of you. Maybe they can stop the action and give GW, the mayor and the governor medals mid-3rd quarter.Oops, almost forgot, and Benson and Tagliabue too. Wouldn't that be the feel good story of the milennium?

Wow, some people Do pay attention and bite on the bait.Next question: Who in the heck feels emotional about L.A. having/not having a stadium/football team?

That was the obvious answer. I'm trying to figure out your point, if there is one. Moreso since you've introduced the straw man of LA not having a team.

I'm sure I speak only for me and no one else, but I am sick of hearing about the poor people of NO. When I tune in Monday night to see the game I'm tuning in to watch THE GAME. I love the match up. NO is a good team as is Atlants.

If I want to know any more about all that happened before, during and after Hurricane K, I will tune into Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, Discovery, TLC, National Geographic and every other cable channel that doesen't have enough programming and has to supplement it with Katrina.

I have been watching MNF since 1972, and I still hate it when they make the broadcast about something other than football. The reason for the broadcast is FOOTBALL. PERIOD. Everything changes. Announcers, networks commetators, sideline analyst, etc. But the game remains. Without it you don't have a broadcast.

I'm sorry Katrina happened. I wish all the people in NO ( and the people in the Gulf state Mississipi) good luck. But get on with life and stop all the #####ing. There's football to watch. And I personally like mine without all the political grandstanding.

:goodposting: Amen Brother.

PEOPLE DO NOT REALIZE HOW IMPORTANT THIS GAME IS TO THE PEOPLE OF NEW ORLEANS! IT GIVES THEM THE CHANCE TO TAKE THEIR MINDS OFF THEIR PROBLEMS. FOR ALL THESE JACKASSES WHO ARE TIRED OF HEARING ABOUT KATRINA, YOU WILL HEAR ABOUT IT THE REST OF YOU LIFE. Just like 9/11 Katrina will be talked about every year, because it was the worst natural disaster ever. So if don't want to hear about it monday night change the channel to deal or no deal! WHEN SOMETHING BAD HAPPENS TO KENTUCKY, OH WAIT SOMETHING BAD HAS HAPPENED YOU LIVE THERE!

Interesting straw man, but I think it's unintentional; you completely miss the importance of this event. This city faced the worst natural disaster in the history of the nation. The Superdome sheltered thousands of the city's residents who likely would have died if it had not existed. To think that those people and their family/friends don't have affection for the thing responsible for savings their lives displays a complete lack of understanding of the magnitude of the event. The re-opening of the Superdome is an incredibly important symbol of New Orleans' progressing recovery. It's inspiring to the citizens of New Orleans and eye-opening to the rest of the nation who likely doesn't know how far the rest of the city has to go.

Translation: I feel bad for the people of New Orleans and the devastation that the people and their families suffered through -- but not bad enough to sacrifice a halftime show that's already awful and 15 minutes of commentary that I already ignore. You, sir, are entitled to your opinion. I'm entitled to think that you're opinions make you an #######.
