DISCLAIMER: One thing this thread isn't or should be, is a WDIS thread. This isn't supposed to be a call for help. This is supposed to be a thread for people to post the tough lineup decisions they've ALREADY MADE or are expecting to make. Joe has gone on record to say this thread has value but will be on a short leash if a bunch of us turn this into WDIS questions. Please post your calls, not your questions.
One week down, 15 more to go! Here is what I have on my fantasy plate this week...
Braylon Edwards and Arnaz Battle over Jericho Cotchery and James Jones - Benching Cotchery this week seems like a no-brainer playing on the road against a tough Ravens defense looking for their first win of the season against Kellen Clemens. But it's the Braylon Edwards start over James Jones that has me pulling my hair out this week. An Edwards start is predicated on the prospects of getting decent garbage-time production and Bray has performed well when Anderson has started. However, James Jones figures to be in the perfect situation this week to break-out. The Packers are really thin at wide receiver, and James Jones figures get open plenty against a brutal Giants secondary. My gut tells me James Jones should be in my lineup, but I can't seem to bench Edwards yet. I may get Jones in my lineup, but perhaps it is Battle who will get yanked at the last minute.
Tatum Bell over Jerious Norwood - Not a huge call here. Minny's defense is stout but I think Bell (without Duckett) should get enough touches on the ground and in the air to make him a better start than Norwood. I think Norwood's role is bound to increase but I also think the Jaguars will play much tighter against the run this week. I think their lapse against the Titans was exactly that, a lapse. The Jags are a decent defense, they'll show up this week against Atlanta.
New Orleans Saints DST - With our scoring system heavily emphasizing 'total yards against' and 'total points against' I figure the Saints are a solid one-week play this week against Tampa Bay. The key here is that New Orleans has had 10 days to prepare and gameplan for the Bucs, combined with the fact that Tampa Bay really lacks big-play potential. I think New Orleans runs Deuce all day, controls the clock, and keeps the Bucs from doing much damage on the scoreboard.
