Im Starting Chris Givens over_____ (1 Viewer)

Ill take 11/92, man he was so close to a monster game.
11/92 is a fine game in a non ppr leage for a wr 3 ( which is all he really should be. In a ppr league it IS a semi-monster game. I left a couple points on the table by starting him over James Jones but if I had to do it all over again I would make the same decision. Looking forward to starting him again next week (hopefully amendola is out again) :P
You want Amendola healthy.
Givens strikes me as a guy with a better floor with Amendola out but higher ceiling with him in.
Eh, I see what you're saying but I think his floor is more dependent on the Ram's offense as a whole. There are days when it's just bad and Bradford isn't getting passes off to anyone. The bottom line is defenses are going to start blanketing Givens when Amendola is out because there isn't anyone else on that offense worth worrying about. Maybe Kendricks will start showing up, he has looked somewhat better the last few weeks.
maybe maybe not ... all I know is he got 11 catches without Amendola there against a very good SF defense. Against a lesser D I could see him breaking 1 or 2 of those for much longer yardage. I do get your point though.

Givens has value if and only if Amendola is out IMO...
I don't think we'll see many more 11-reception games if Amendola is healthy but it seems to me Givens has proven he should have a prominent role in this offense. It's not like the Rams have a wealth of options in the passing game. They are pretty much dying there.

started him over denarius moore yesterday, non ppr it was 6 points difference... really concerned with moore though, thought he was on pace to be a WR2.... now he is borderline WR3

Givens reminds me of Mike Wallace A little bit he could have huge offseasontrade value. Much like we saw out of Torrey Smith this past year.

Yesterday I started him over Amendola (obviosuly), Lloyd, and Antonio Brown...not exactly a ringing endorsement though, lol

Where do you value Greg Jennings right now and by extension Jaret Boykin
If Jordy misses any time, I'd say Jennings is a decent WR2...I think Cobb will be the most valuable WR on the Packers though.Boykin might have a little value in keeper leagues, or really deep leagues, otherwise I don't see anything huge from him this year with the other options there.

He had 6 weeks of 50 yard catches or more, most of which had DA in the line up.
... betcha Badford would like to see Amendola/Avery/Givens/Alexander lining up these days ...

Injuries obviously played a big factor in their releases, but it's interesting looking at the success the DA's and Laurent Robinson have had since the Rams.

Of course injuries, etc forced their hand, but ...And I forgot about Robinson ... let's chuck Salas in for good measure as well.

Week 14 Projection - 7/107 and TD against the Bills with 105 KR (Lindell cannot kick it deep).

Dude had 14 targets of which he grabbed 11, Amendola at this point might actually help him break one, heal up Danny.

Thinking about starting this guy over Torrey Smith this week if Amendola is out. I just picked him up so I haven't been following too closely with the whole Amendola injury situation. Last I heard was he didn't practice yesterday, anybody have any more detailed info?

Seriously considering starting him in a PPR league over Stevie Johnson and Lance Moore as my WR3. Might be crazy but I see a big game from Givens because of the matchup. Only IF Amendola is out though.

starting Givens over Larry Fitzgerald this week, although with hesitation now that Shelton is back and the Seahawks are down a corner.

I'm hoping Amendola sits this week. He was in a walking boot and he is made out of glass, why is he trying to rush back?
Because players play! :PAnyhow, looks like Amendola ran some drills on the side line.Main Takeway: Givens may still produce but he will see significantly less targets if Amendola plays (but only if he plays more than 7 snaps like in the Cardinals game). However, I do not think Amendola plays much if he does not practice Friday.

Givens is a better start against the Bills than last week, CB's McKelvin,Rogers,Williams all limited in practice.

Also have 2 safeties Searcy and Byrd on the injury report.

Amendola is as much of a threat to Givens as Jennings is to Cobb, his status really doesn't matter at this point because Givens is starting regardless at WR2.

Right now for Week 14, I have Calvin Johnson, T.Y. Hilton and Chris Givens in my lineup.

Hakeem Nicks and Eric Decker on the bench. The health of Nicks and/or Amondola will determine if I put Nicks in over Givens.

Maybe a slightly odd question.

But there are a few leagues that don't have a designated tight end spot

and in doing so WR/TE is then how they are used, but not much info on it.

So the question is how do you rank for say this week someone like Hernandez

in NE playing on Monday night against Houston, compared to Givens at Buffalo?

Are tight ends in general fantasy ranked lower, or does "elite" take precedence?

For this week only, with Amendola out/hurt and the off-chance that Hernandez sits, I'd play Givens,. But otherwise, I think Hernandez is a much better option. In general, the elite TEs are more involved in their offenses and harder to shut down than any WR2/3.

Danny Amendola (foot) is inactive for Week 14 against the Bills.Amendola was upgraded from "doubtful" to "questionable" this week, but got in just two limited practices. He should be back for Week 15, but nothing is ever for certain with St. Louis' increasingly brittle No. 1 receiver. The news means Chris Givens will again serve as Sam Bradford's security blanket after racking up an impressive 11 catches on 14 targets in Week 13. Both the Rams' top deep and underneath threat, Givens is a high-end WR3 for the first week of the fantasy playoffs. Also inactive for the Rams are QB Austin Davis, TE Mike McNeill, DT Matt Conrath, RB Terrance Ganaway, OL Chris Williams and OT Joe Barksdale.

Going with Givens over Bowe but still flip flopping over Crabtree. There was an earlier post about the Bills D being banged up. Any updates? TIA

Hmmm I think I might roll with him over Torrey Smith since Amendola is out. Torrey could have a huge game or he could have 1 catch for 12 yards and I can't afford that in the playoffs.

Just switched him in for Rudolph. With Amendola out, Givens should get a lot of targets and I expect the Bills to get a lead and make the Rams have to catch up. I like Rudolph lately, but with an extra bump for 100 yards, Givens has a higher ceiling in my league. That and if Rudolph doesn't get a TD, he could have a meh game. I think like last week in PPR, Givens can have as good a game without a TD, but with a TD he can have a huge week.

That said, I have been dead wrong on just about every coin flip this year so sorry in advance. ;)
