I'm starting Johnny Manziel over ___________ (2 Viewers)

the leaked patriots scouting report from early in offseason had all of the warning signs. below average athlete that wins over everyone he meets, teammates will go to war for him, but hates to practice, never went to class, never went to meetings, never watched film, never worked out, left college barely knowing half the playbook. comes from oil money, already has fame, could walk away from the game tomorrow and not care, will have to drag him to work.

pretty funny that all he had to do was text the browns during the draft "you guys should take me, we could wreck the league" and they instantly trade up for him smh. id love to see him succeed since the nfl doesnt need another blaine gabbert but man he looked absolutely horrible today, and thats coming from a guy that watches the redskins every week.
Thanks God Dallas passed on him and took Zack Martin. Dodged a BIG one there.

I liked Pacman Jones doing the "money" sign after he picked Johnny off. Too funny!

Rotoworld:

Coach Mike Pettine said Johnny Manziel will start Week 16 against the Panthers.

It also sounded like Manziel will be the starting quarterback through Week 17. That comes as no surprise. It will give the coaching staff three games of tape on Manziel and allow him to get his feet wet before 2015. Johnny Football finished with about as horrific a stat line one could imagine in his debut, but Pettine placed much of the blame on the players around Manziel. He'll be a high-risk QB2 against Carolina, but one with plenty of upside. The 7-7 Browns are out of the playoff picture.

there you go, guys. he's got "plenty of upside" go ahead and start him again this week. on the road.

good luck with that.

I wish my opponent had started him instead of Cutler. He picked him up this week, but didn't pull the trigger (I wouldn't have, either).

No sympathy for anyone who started a rookie in his first start in the playoffs.
When you lose Newton in a 14 teamer and nothing left some of us had no choice my friend. Decisions between bad an worse at this point.
I can understand going with JM in that case. But reading some of these other posts and noting the proven QBs people said they were benching in favor of a guy making his first NFL start just has me SMH.

I went with him over McCown in my 2-QB league. I did like McCown last week but thought Manziel had more upside. I was expecting Manziel, at worst, to be like Tebow and run around and get some rushing production even if the passing numbers weren't there. I also was expecting him to top 100 yards passing since that's what most humans are capable of doing in the National Football League.

It didn't work out obviously and to make matters even worse McCown got a rushing TD which I thought Manziel could get. But without the benefit of hindsight I would make the same call again going into Week 15. I thought Manziel was the upside play.

Again...starting him over McCown I can see. Starting him over Wilson, Ryan, Rivers, Eli, Tannehill, and Romo?? That was crazy, IMO. Those first 5 are top 12 QBs and Romo is not far off.

I might've started him over Tannehill but not over anyone else you listed. I thought the Patriots would shut down Tannehill more than they did.

If you are starting him this week over a turd you do not deserve a win.
What does deserving have to do with anything? If I score more points than my opponent, I win. Manziel will be in my line up when it happens.
