I'm starting Kolby Smith over __________! (1 Viewer)

I too have the FWP dilemma - and I can't believe its even a dilemma, but as I think about it, FWP is going to have to go against NE a week after Baltimore ran through them... will NE adjust or can they be overpowered (from early in the season I stated that I felt NE could be beat by a power running team... not a power back, but a strong overpowering run OL)? FWP has come up SO small this season compared to expectations. No real breakout games, no TDs.Denver sucks against the run, but in a divisional game, who knows. I will likley roll with my first rounder, but I can't say for sure as of this moment.
I'm in the same boat.

I feel very uncomfortable starting Smith in the playoffs but FWP and Gore have horrible matchups. I may start Chester Taylor but am already starting ADP and possibly Sidney Rice as well.

I probably won't make my mind up until sunday morning.

I too have FWP not sure if I should use Smith & Jackson in the first rd of the playoffs. I have jacobs & rudi on the bench but how can I justify not starting my first rd pick?

UT OH...not looking so promising for Kolby anymore. Panic button tapping on R. Bush right now.

i keep switching back and forth between FWP and Kolby Smith. It's tough to bench your first round pick for a waiver wire player, but FWP has been far from productive the past several games.

I am basically down to flipping a coin between Kolby or Fred T against Carolina.
ACP,I am one step ahead - I have picked K Smith OVER Taylor, but haven't decided yet if I should go with MJD over K Smith. PPR league, that is TD heavy (bonuses don't even start until 100 yards and then it is 3 for 100, and plus 1 for each addl 15).MJD has been so money the last several weeks on TDs, but K Smith faces an atrocious DEN rush defense.

As A Kolby Owner in multiple leagues, not to worry abou LJ anytime soon.--RB Larry Johnson: Adam Teicher, of The Kansas City Star, reports Kansas City Chiefs RB Larry Johnson (foot) participated in individual drills Thursday, Dec. 6. He will not play Week 14.

I can't find this info anywhere else on the web about the OL issues.

Edit to add...

So...are we SURE that LJ is out this week? I read this article-- http://www.kansascity.com/sports/chiefs/story/388574.html -- and it matter-of-factly states that he is out, but then he goes out and practices? Has he been declared out? There is another thread in the Shark Pool about his progress jogging and such.
LJ wont play again this year....atleast not during the regular season

I've had Kolby and Portis in my lineup, without hesitation for two weeks now over Kevin Jones and Reggie Bush. I've watched Kolby's past two games very closely and he has been pretty impressive even though the stats in the SD matchup didn't completely show it. I know my sample is really only over two measly games but he seems to have some of Priest's old ability to find the hole but he never seems to go down with the first tackle and generally seems drag the defender along for a couple extra yards on each play. Denver has a slimmer, faster defensive line and I just feel that Kolby will eventually wear on these guys.

Bush has been bad the past couple and I believe Atlanta's D is a bit under appreciated this season, plus this game is in Atlanta. KJ just really doesn't seem like an option either.
