I'm starting Steve Slaton over... (1 Viewer)

he is slowly becoming a must start for me, and this week he's going to start at my offensive flex position, but isn't starting over anyone yet.

Over Bush or Turner? are you crazy... Yes I am actually considering it. Turner is facing a banged up GB team. I actually like the match there. However, Bush v. Minn might not be too great of a matchup for Reggie, as wonderful as he has been thus far. I'm seriously considering giving Slaton a shot in Bush's place.

In PPR I'm so happy I got this guy off of waivers. With Westbrook gimpy, and Pierre Thomas no longer a factor, I have no choice but to start him with Bush this week. Hopefully Deuce will take the pounding and let Bush do his thing in the passing game.

I like Slaton so muchin my PPR league, that I wanted him in my lineup permanently. He was having a hard time getting in though while I had Reggie Bush and Michael Turner in front of him with no flex. My solution was to trade away Reggie Bush and Michael Turner (and Randy Moss) for Ladanian Tomlinson (and Andre Johnson), and thus make Slaton an every week starter.

guy is a must start in PPR leagues IMO...
I'm in a PPR Dynasty league, but no way will he start for me over Gore and Peterson.
Unless you have two studs as you do...in leagues that start 2 RBs and with a flex especially he should be starting for someone...
Yes, just as I said above, and now below.
Depending on your other options. However, I think he is a start in a 12 team start 2RB league. Meaning, he should start for someone in that format.

Over Grant and Lendale in one league -- not a tough choice there.

Over Gore in another league. I just think NE is going to absolutely crush SF this weekend after what happened v Miami, and having the bye week to regroup. I may end up regretting the decision but I am just going with my gut this week.

Over Grant in one league, no-brainer as mentioned.

Over Jacobs, T. Jones and Jones-Drew in another.

both are PPR leagues.

Dodds would start Slaton over A Peterson, LT, Gore, Addai, Lynch, etc. etc. Basically over the entire league except MB3 and another rookie RB :goodposting:

Also over MJD in PPR. Slaton has performed well against tough defenses. It will be a true test of his fantasy reliability to see how he does against a team he *should* have success against. At this point, I think the job (fantasy-wise and in real life) is his to lose.

In a PPR, I think this trade clearly favors your trade partner

I don't think Dodds is crazy. You have to take risks to win the championship and I see Slaton, Forte and MB3 as your top 3 RBs for week 5.

That is a comment relevant to trade talk/drafting/ww moves, etc. - not to this discussion. If you see Slaton, Forte, MB111 as your top-3 scoring RBs in week 5, there is no risk in the equation.

I can pick any RB I want. I don't draft. The risk is that I pick Slaton and Forte but Barber and LT2 beat them this week. This is a TSN salary cap league. The guy is asking who you are sitting to start Slaton my answer is "I'm taking risk to win a championship," by thinking outside the box even though I could start a much more known commodity ie Addai, Barber etc.

I'm actually considering starting him over Tomlinson (other RB is Forte against a weak DET D). I know.. craziness..

1) He is the focal point of his team in running AND passing, and plays the worst run defense in the league.

2) I watched the SD game this last week and saw LT struggle all game. Yes, he had a 41yd TD run in the last minute, but it was the run equivalent of blown coverage.

BUT Tomlinson will finally have a full week of practice this week and says he feels the best he has all season...

oy.. i might as well just flip a coin...

Maybe. I think AJ is a pretty good upgrade over R.Moss, and we start 3 WR's so they hold more value. I see LT getting healthy and having another good LT year. My biggest issue was out of Bush and Turner, one RB wasn't catching passes, and one RB wasn't getting rushing attempts.Slaton was going to get into my starting lineup anyway, so either bench one or move him for a QB, or move both to upgrade RB1 (imo) and WR2.I really like Slaton.
