i am in a ten team redraft and i would rate the positions like this:

1. 1st pick Larry Johnson

2. 3rd pick So I don't have to choose between Alexander and LT.

3. 2nd pick I take Alexander or LT.

4. 10th pick Getting 2 of the top 11 players is always a bonus.

5. 9th pick. Getting 2 of the top 12 players is cool.

6. 5th pick. After those first 5 slots, ny preference would be to stay in the middle of each round.

7. 4th pick. Still getting a solid pick in round 3.

8. 8th pick. Getting 2 of the top 13 players.

9. 6th pick. Staying close to the middle of each round.

10. 7th pick. just a crappy place to be. 2nd tier RB or 1st tier WR, or Peyton Manning just because I can't pass on him at #7.

While the 4th is not normally a great pick, this year I have four RBs in the top tier: LT, LJ, SAlex and Portis.

At 4 you get whichever remains and an earlier pick in the 2nd.

So you have Portis rated higher than the site, higher than Tiki and don't have any separation from the clear first three to the next group? You would be one of the few.

That is the one reason that most drafters hate the 4-5 spots this year, and I am with the first poster that my preferences would be 1-3-2-10

If given the choice take the #1 slot. Take the guy that you think will be the best fantasy player, don't let anyone else choose for you by going 3rd, 4th or whatever.

If not given the choice, I like the middle picks as they are more fun during the draft. Trying to play the who do I take now and who has the best chance of making it back to me is an art all to itself.

Drafting at the bookends is basically the same take the two best/need and forget about it. Highly unlikely guys slip past 18 other picks.
