Yes he did. He took that hit like a man. Props to him. I can't believe Darrell Reid isn't in the Pro Bowl as a ST player. The dude plays mad on Special Teams. He's had several big hits like this over the last 2 years.Wow! Thanks for putting that here as I missed the game last night. Seems like Henry got up fairly quickly, no? That bumps him up in my book.
Jeez, what was the QB thinking in the 2nd clip? Great hits, both of them!Laron Landry >>> Bama QB's
is that a youtube video OF a youtube video???Laron Landry >>> Bama QB's
Hard to argue with Madden's opinion. I have to put the late Sean Taylor's hit on punter Brian Moorman in the most recent Pro Bowl right up there with it.If you need a reminder, here's the link from the '07 Pro Bowl:Madden commented that he thought that was the hardest hit he's ever seen in his life. I'm paraphrasing.

Enjoy!
You're gonna have to bring more than that, said Chris Henry, as he popped right back up.I woke my wife and the dog up with my "OHHH!!" exclamation when this happened.Just a split second before he hit I could see Reid coming through that gap and knew the collision would be bad.I can't think of a harder hit that I've seen. Can't believe Henry popped right back up.![]()
That is great.my favorite hit of all time:
lol There was a link to the side of this clip of a streaker getting hit.Junior Rosegreen on Reggie Brown
I agree with Assani. That's one of my all-time favorite hits as well and it was by a running back. But my favorite hit is probably the Corwin Brown hit on Keyshawn Johnson in the Lions/Bucs game back in 2000. I can't find a link but Keyshawn got jacked up.my favorite hit of all time:
yes it was a great hit, but what i didn't like was about 10-15 seconds after you could see him with his hand behind his head pointing at his name......get over yourself and playMadden commented that he thought that was the hardest hit he's ever seen in his life. I'm paraphrasing.

I know what you're saying, but he felt snubbed for the Pro Bowl. He is an awesome ST player and I'm guessing since the Pro Bowl is a popularity contest, he was trying to take advantage of his 15 seconds of fame there. He really isn't like that otherwise.yes it was a great hit, but what i didn't like was about 10-15 seconds after you could see him with his hand behind his head pointing at his name......get over yourself and playMadden commented that he thought that was the hardest hit he's ever seen in his life. If this were boxing and someone took a huge punch without getting knocked out or otherwise negatively affected we'd be saying how they could take a punch.Chris Henry took it like a man, popped up immediately, and played the rest of the game with no ill effects. I'd say some kudos are due to him for being tough enough to take the hit and not even be fazed by it. In effect, Henry said "Is that all you've got?"pizzatyme said:I know what you're saying, but he felt snubbed for the Pro Bowl. Yep, and I already gave him his props for popping up. To say he wasn't fazed by it is an overstatement, however. He got rocked and got up like a man. Kudos to both men.If this were boxing and someone took a huge punch without getting knocked out or otherwise negatively affected we'd be saying how they could take a punch.Chris Henry took it like a man, popped up immediately, and played the rest of the game with no ill effects. He clearly moved his head off to the left side and hit with the shoulder.Looks like Reid was leading with his helmet. Isn't that a fine-able offense?
Coach Fisher quote "(on if it should have been a penalty as a helmet-to-helmet hit)No. A running back doesn’t get helmet-to-helmet protection. A quarterback gets helmet-to-helmet protection, and a receiver will get helmet-to-helmet protection in a vulnerable position, but a ball-carrier doesn’t. "Looks like Reid was leading with his helmet. I tried watching it in slo-mo, but Reid appears out of nowhere and blows up Henry like that airliner in that crappy Pentagon 9/11 surveillance footage. He clearly moved his head off to the left side and hit with the shoulder.Looks like Reid was leading with his helmet. Not only that but he took abnother hit by 95 later in the game. Nowhere near as hard but still a good hit.And I'm not trying to minimize the hit because it was awesome. But as high as he hit the guy and the way he bounced back was the easiest type of big hit to recover from. All the momentum pivots quickly. Doesn't change the speed of the hit or the body shock, but if he had been leaning forward more or if the guy had hit him closer to his center of gravity then one or both of those guys wouldn't have gotten up.Yep, and I already gave him his props for popping up. These clips all belong in the "I think it's cool to cause permanent brain damage to other humans because I don't follow the rules of the game" thread. Every one is a textbook example of leading with the helmet to headhunt vulnerable WR's. I love to see a RB and LB collide at full speed. I hate to see a defenseless WR get KO'd by a defender leading with helmet on a helmet to helmet hit. Celebrating what a stud you are because the other guy is motionless on the ground does not make you a man. It simply makes you a sorry excuse for a human. Tackle the right way and save yourself some brain damage, you'll need to fall back on that Basketweaving 101 degree when your meaningless college football career is over.Junior Rosegreen on Reggie Brown
