If you are a believer it is a solid offer and worth doing unless you have holes elsewhere or a coveted player that you think is a cornerstone that you could get at 1.03. I haven't really started my research yet on the draft class to know what I would be looking at for pick 1.03.
I own JJ in SF and don’t accept that offer. But 15 teamer. I laugh at owner that needs a QB and gave Caleb Williams for pick that was 1.1 at the time but ended 1.4 and than 2.1 pick than was 2.4 and 26 2nd. I would want 1-9-2.1 and 2nd back at miminum if that owner
I'm a McCarthy skeptic. I didn't see his play in college and think that kids is going to be good in the NFL. He was a game manager in college, and was never really asked to make pro-level throws on a consistent basis. But that might be the Buckeye in me talking. IDK. They didn't win the championship because of him. They won due to Corum and Conner S.
Before I got to this it was what I was thinking of your comment given your user name. Sorry, but the OSU/Michigan rivalry seems to do it to people. Then again, you also follow him more than the average.
I personally don’t think the 1.03 gets it done here. You’re essentially thinking Jeanty then who? Sanders or Ward? I don’t trade McCarthy if he’s on my roster for either of those two guys, guys I won’t even get my choice of. No thanks. The drop off is so steep, I’d want another mid-1st for him. That’s what scarcity does, you know?
Caveat my own analysis and that is that my experience is 1QB. But I watch all the trades and this seems too light.

I'm of the same mind. He received a ton of good press leading up to the draft but he was pretty far back from the other rookies. Maye and Nix performed well better than expected but even in a good situation, hard to think he'll come in with his limited skill set and perform as well as those guys.
I took over an orphaned team in a 16 team non SF league (where 3rd stringers are regularly rostered) and I can't give him away for a 2025 1st.
