Remember playing super tecmo bowl as a kid on NES? It's possible to download this game onto your PC right now and play it using a NES emulator. I'm going to be working on this during the week, and hopefully by weeks end, I'll be sending out links for Super Tecmo Bowl for 2011 rosters. The old game "QB Eagles" Bo Jackson, you remember all that right? Well QB eagles will be Michael vick. Bo Jackson will be ADP on the vikings. Brady will be similar to Joe Montana. Marino will be similar to Manning. I'll have every roster accurate (within reason) to the starting rosters of the 2k11 season- and I'll be posting links so that it will be available to all. I'll be posting more details soon. This will be a free project from me for the FBG community. I'll release more details on how to obtain and install this game on your PC as I finish the roster updates ETC.

I don't remember Football Jesus being in the original, so how are you going to portray Aaron Rodgers?

No, obviously no current player were in TSB.

But Adrian Peterson has to compare to the Bo Jackson of old... Remember that Tecmoesque run against CLE last year?

I'll be giving many of the current players similar attributes to the old school guys. Okoye will be similar to Hillis (running over people, decent speed etc) Brady will be similar to montana, Manning1 will be similar to Marino. I'll make Rodgers an elite QB as well. There are probably a lot more elite QBs now than when this game was released, and I plan on statting the current players out accorindingly. I released a pre draft version of this game in the "free for all" forums and many FBG members downloaded it and enjoyed it, but this will be the season version. I'll try to do a trade deadline version as well.

I don't want to burst your bubble all, but this kind of thing has and does exist on the net for years now. I'm sure there is already a 2011 ROM out there, but if you want to make one yourself, knock yourself out.

Yeah I've been on those sites... I don't think those emulations are quite as accurate as my obsessiveness is ready to offer you. Plus, I'm going to give links out here on the forums so FBG members that aren't familiar with emulation will be able to partake in this fun.

I mean, the ratings lie in the eye of the creator, so each ROM will be different in that regard. I guess I don't understand what you mean when you say they may not be accurate. All of the ROM devs there are absurdly obsessed, meticulous, perfectionists that tweak and tweak and tweak until their games are as perfect as they can be. You'll find ROMs with different difficulties ("juiced"), ROMs that are sped up and change game physics to make things more "realistic", and ROMs with custom playbooks (Anyone want to run the Wildcat in Tecmo?) and custom intros and animations.

I'm just a fan of that place, but curious as to what it is you think you're bringing to the table here other than comparing AP to Bo.

Well I'm doing this for the FBG members that havet experienced emulation. If you don't like my version or feel another sites is more accurate, by all means, download and play theirs.

Or if you want to edit all the player profiles yourself, have at it and release your own. Mine will be available this week. I suspect you probably don't want to create your own so have fun with mine or another sites.
