Simply put... should Shane Victorino make the NL All-Star team. Not just as a starter, not just as a reserve... but should he flat out be in the Bronx, wearing a NL uniform for the all-star game. Is he worthy?

In 51 games... he is batting .291, .365 OBP, .408 SLUG, 41 R, 57 H/196 AB, 17 RBI, 13 SB.

Complete Stats: http://www.baseball-reference.com/v/victosh01.shtml

He just carried the Phillies on his back to a sweep of the Braves and is arguably one of the top OF's in the national league.

Yay or Nay?

I am filling out my ballot and came across this tough decision. Ludwick, McLouth, Victorino, Braun, Soriano, Beltran?

I think I know who I am leaning on.

No way.

He's a nice fantasy player because he steals bases and bats before Chase Utley and Ryan Howard, but a .773 OPS in the outfield is not all-star worthy.

He is a good fielder, but not as good as Beltran, who even in a down year has comparable offensive stats to Victorino.

hopefully you wrote it quentin on the AL side...

Can't speak to the defensive side, but Braun and MClouth both have superior numbers and alot of Victorino's numbers stem from being in the middle of the Philly lineup.

he's having a nice season, but there are too many people having better seasons.the 4 bolded above plus jason bay, carlos lee, pat burrell, ryan church just to name 8.

The guy just started hitting the other day. I'd probably write in Spartans Rule before I voted for Victorino.

:unsure:Seriously, I should be voted in as the All-Star fantasy owner the way I'm killing the FBG league.
