Indianapolis at Pittsburgh (1 Viewer)

Refs are brutally pro Steeler this quarter. Terrible.
Remove "this quarter".
Stop it.

Steelers : 11 penalties

Colts : 4 penalties

That's not even counting the 2 sets of offsetting penalties that kept Indy drives alive. The officiating has sucked but to insinuate that the Colts are getting jobbed is nuts. Try playing some defense.
Some people just hate the Steelers. Chaz probably hasn't even looked at the team penalty stats for the year. Just an ignorant comment.

This game needs to end. Every point Luck/Bradshaw score... I need a bigger game from Jordy tonight.

End this game... now.

2:48 left. Do the Steelers "Patriot it up" for the record or play the kill clock game
my kid is making a racket in here so I'm missong 80% of the audio. what record?
Single game passing yards all time. Ben will finish about 30 yards short. He did become the first QB in NFL history to post two 500 yard passing games in a career. That shocked me. I figured Manning or Brees must have done it.

40/49 for 522 with 6/0. Has to be on the short list of best single game performances in NFL history when you consider completion %, ypa, yards, TDs, etc.

On the plus side, between Ben, Gronk, and Sanders, I likely remained alive another week in the subscriber contest even without a point from anyone else.

This was the Steelers' day. Ben had a career-best performance, and the fans got quite an amazing show. Networks crave such contests, and CBS got a big-time "AFL-style" match-up and a ratings winner. Let's see if GB-NO can follow the fireworks of the Colts-Pgh game. Ha!

Overall, Colts probably have the better team, but ran into an outlier of a buzz-saw. Am sure they'll bounce back. Luck is among the elite QBs and they don't lose much on offense without Reggie Wayne in there any more. Houston is improved, but Indy is the elite team of their division.

The only thing viable about the refs in this game is not partisanship, but how the increase in defensive penalties this season got exposed to the point of ridicule.

AFC Central is so unpredictable, does anyone have a handle on who wins the division?

The Oilers?

Proving that humor is largely a matter of taste

Forgot it is the AFC North now. No Central. My mistake. Indianapolis is in the AFC South, though Cincinnati and, I believe, Baltimore are south of Indy. Miami is in the East, though it is as South as you can get, outside the Florida Keys. Further south than Jacksonville. No way the Dolphins are going anywhere, though, given the rivalry with the Jets. Too many transplants from NY/NJ to South Florida.

I am sorry for the generation of elementary school youth who are trying to reconcile Geography with NFL divisional groupings.

No way Dallas ever leaves the "NFC East" given the rivalries with Philly, NYG, and the 'Skins. But it ruins a potentially great rivalry being in with Houston.

Why was KC not ok in baseball with moving to the AL West, but the Chiefs thrive in competition with the Raiders, Denver, etc? Importing the Astros from the NL and sending them to Seattle or the Mariners to Houston seems darn silly.

St Louis is east of KC, but the Rams remain in the NFC West because of having been in LA in what seems like eons ago, I guess. Yet, Dallas is west of St. Louis and in the NFC East.

Clearly not a perfect world, and it's time to move on before I'm ripped for writing all this.
