Has there been any news on whether the NFL is going to go back to pre-covid IR rules, or stick with some modification of the 2020 IR rules? I've searched, can't find anything.

Great thread. i have planned to keep our league COVID rules in tact as is as long as MFL continues to use the (C) covid and (H) opt out designations.

i was thinking more about bringing players off IR early - used to be only two for designated to return and then only after several weeks. Last year, they expanded the number of DFI and cut the time on IR to 3 weeks.  I had some league mates with 1/3 of their team on IR as a result. But the same is true if they  keep the Covid designation in place.

Apparently adapting last year’s rules for this year has not been voted on yet. However, some of those rules were going to be new and a regular thing anyway and COVID had nothing to do with it.

Signs point to NFL retaining modified injured reserve rules.
