Intentional benching on ESPN (1 Viewer)

Anybody ever see an owner choose to bench their kicker for Monday night football to protect a one point lead when the opponent has zero players left.? You know, to avoid a missed field goal -1 assessment. Will that be an illegal lineup or will it work?

We have a rule that an illegal lineup garners zero points for the week.

If in our league, this owner would be submitting an illegal lineup without a Kicker, thus forfeiting all his points for the week and becoming loser.

Owner of the team at very least would ave to play someone on a bye in that spot to avoid getting -1 in my league.

No one has ever thought of this. Can't wait for the discussion on it.
Assuming sarcasm, I know it's not a new idea just curious how the espn site deals with it scoring wise.
If the ESPN default is the same as the Yahoo default, you just get 0 points. The same as if you left in a player on a bye week. I personally see nothing wrong with benching a player to secure a win. I would fear a stat correction that gives me a loss more than a kicker getting negative points.
