I'm going to min-camp tomorrow and for some odd reason I've butterflies like this is my first day of school, what in the hell is wrong?

I have a feeling that this is my or our last chance to win big (superbowl) if this doesn't go as planned doesthat make my career a fail?

Window of opportunity closing for a ring, one I'm 32 now, two there will be a lockout after this season, means I've got to win now!
Thoughts?

If it is any consolation to Chad, neither TO nor Randy have a Superbowl ring either and they are both more deserving.

He's actually talking football on Twitter? I had to stop following the guy because the signal to noise ratio was way too low for me...

Gotta love Ocho. He has done great things and had good success for being mired in Cincinnati. Last season was probably their last great attempt at busting through. They had an outstanding regular season, but couldn't finish.

I dont see how anyone can take anything Chad Johnson says very seriously. These types of public comments are just entirely unnecessary. And he talks about wanting a ring, his window closing, yet he so obviously has no idea what it would even take to contribute to earning one. It starts by limiting the BS and just playing ball. All these years, he's played for the cameras FAR more than he's ever played for a ring. I have no sympathy.

And exactly which part of his on-field production is it that you're taking issue with? Just how much better would he have to have been over the last several years to convince you that he was serious about winning and was an asset to his team? Be one of the top ten WRs in the NFL four or five times? Oh, wait. Guess he should have been the best WR in the game every year? The love child of Jerry Rice and Randy Moss with the strength of Hercules?Shorter Twitch: "I never liked Chad Johnson."

Sure, if it were just that simple. And why exactly would I even waste the energy to hate the man? My favorite team beats his team whenever they play. And he seems to be a good enough person. Its certainly nothing personal. Im just calling it as I see it. He's a talker. Always has been. He just spends so much energy, puts so much effort, diverts so much attention and focus to himself and away from matters that are actually important, its ultimately a detriment to the concept of team.

And you suggest how great of a player he's been over the years. Id argue that he COULD have, maybe even SHOULD have, been even better. Ever consider that? There's such a thing as underachieving, even having "achieved". Though in his career there in Cinci, theyve yet to even win a single playoff game, obviously no entirely any one player's fault, but in my book, that's underachieving.

But for the record, Ive always liked Chad Johnson. I still like Chad Ochocinco. Never any question about that. Im just recognizing the obvious - that a player who needs to post on twitter how he's facing his "last shot" at a ring, draw some trivial level of reassurance that we're all pulling for him, just falls short, in my humble opinion, of understanding what it takes to actually be a champion.

Too bad he's not a team-oriented, championship winning paragon of virtue like the Patriots have leading their WR corps. Oh wait...

How many of his teammates has he pissed off and aggravated over the years by having to be the prima donna while the rest of the team shuts up and does their job? It's a rhetorical question, there is no answer. But the answer probably isn't zero.

How many years has Palmer talked about Johnson not being in the OTAs and other offseason workout stuff? Seems to me that it's happened at least the last 3 offseasons, including this one.

Well to add to that, how many titles has New England won with that player? Not a one. So, as much as Id like to challenge your remark, I wont really. But in comparing those 2 players, one player clearly defines his team. The other obviously doesnt. In fact, most would probably make the case that Welker is pretty close to defining what his team wants to be about. And you really dont wanna get into comparing Wes Welker to Chad Ochocinco. Because that little overachiever is all about shutting up and playing.
