International Travel Soon - Vaccine card has a small typo - what to do (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I noticed my vaccine card which I will be showing at the airport has a small typo- name is spelled incorrectly, swapped two letters.

Should I worry about this? My options are

1) Don't do anything with it - just present as is

2) Contact CVS to see if they can get me a new one a fill it out correctly

3) Just modify it myself (whiteout or just with a pen)

Thoughts?

First time travelling so not sure how close the airport looks at these?

if this is something they do at the store i would definitely go there and get them to issue you a correct one take that to the bank brohan

i guess as an alternative you could quickly change your name to match your vaccination card take that to the bank bromigo

I don't remember doing anything and my vaccine status is on my iPhone in the Health area under Health Records has all my shots on there and a QR code. Probably turned it on at some point I guess.

Haven't traveled internationally so no clue on what they use and how close they analyze this.

Probably safest to get a new card if CVS will do that.

Was racking my brain trying to remember how I set up my vax cards on my phone. Found this: link

Still have no recollection of doing this  but it is on there and has all the correct info.

My son forgot his vaccine card when he went to get his booster a few weeks ago at a Kinney.  They just gave him a new one with all the info including the new shot. I don't see why CVS couldn't give you a new one to correct the misspelling.

I mean save yourself the potential small headache and get cvs to do you another one.  They will do another one for you more or less on no proof if you say you lost yours.  Worst case you now have a spare.

When I got my card (coincidentally at a pharmacy called Pinney’s), they told me just to come back if I lost it and they’d give me another one. I’d never heard of Kinney before. I guess they don’t have them in East Tennessee.

Ha. I never realized it was such a relatively small pharmacy (only about 100 in central/northern NY and VT) since we have a few around me.  Otherwise I would have noted it was basically just another CVS-like pharmacy.

I would start with choice two and default to choice one if that did not pan out. Choice three could lead to prison time in a foreign country.

Haven't you seen Midnight Express?

My card doesn't even have my name on it. I should probably add that. Live dangerously, just use whiteout.
