Is Adrian Peterson a must-start RB already? (1 Viewer)

Many of us Peterson owners drafted him as RB3 this season. I know it's only been one week, but given his performance on Sunday and Taylor's injury, I don't think we need to worry that he won't get enough touches to be productive.

Is it too early to consider him a must-start RB2 now, over the likes of Maroney, MJD, etc (players that were probably drafted as your RB2 if you have AP as RB3)? This isn't about his keeper/dynasty value or would you trade for him or whatever. I'm just saying, if he's on your roster now (and you are not planning to trade him) is he now entrenched as a starter on your fantasy team? Will you play matchups with him and another RB? Or will you keep him on the bench in favor of another RB that you drafted higher?

He'll be starting at FLEX for me until he proves incapable

Edit: I like to add that I had Deuce at the FLEX, but I traded him, along with the Giants RBs (jacobs, ward), and Chris Brown, for Bush and DeAngelo Williams yesterday. in other words, I traded away some depth to get ADP in the lineup

Depends on your options, but if Chester Taylor is injured, I like Peterson's chances of success - especially because the Vikes are a run-heavy team.

having maroney and sjax ADP is a situational start. This week he is starting for maroney. Watch thus Sunday be larry's big night.

He is going in until he is injured. With that OL and all his talent now is the time. Plus- he knows that he is given a chance to prove that he can take on the load with Taylor out with that ab strain. That is a brutal injury. All aboard the AP Express....

I am looking at matchups with AD, Edge, and Thomas Jones. Choosing between AD and Edge this week, may go with AD against the Lions.

He is but that is also because there are so few must starting RBs as so many are in RBBCs and even if Chester Taylor is in there, Peterson is the best of all the RBBC RBs.

He's replacing Brandon Jacobs in my line up. Does that count? :lmao: Let the other owners use up their waiver priority for Ward, I've got All Day.

He's definately ahead of Caddy on my roster now.

While I have room for 2 RB starters so both he and Ahman will go for me, I'd have to think hard about starting Ahman Green ahead of him if I only had one spot.

Fellas - It's not even close this week. Petersen is a must start against the Lions. With 20 carries, he is assured at least 100 yards.

This week vs DET he is a must start. Im starting him over Portis.
 This manager will be doing the same as the Eagles Run D looked pretty stout last week. Portis sits and ADP runs wild over DET.

You've gotta like him vs DET this week. Too bad MIN doesn't play at home every week vs a Vick-less ATL team though.

I drafted him at 4:1 as my #2 RB. LT + AD combo FTW!

I got both of them cuffed (CT + Turner) so I'm all set the for season now...

If Kevin Jones gets back in and starts producing I might look at him for AD's touch matchups like CHI, but that also depends on who DET is playing.

He's not a must start until we see what he can with a less than favorable matchup and the RBBC straightens itself out. However, if CT is out for sure this week, he's a must start vs. the Lions. I don't care who you're other backs are.

My decision is LJ vs. MJD. I actually like MJD's chances for success, (especially TD's) much better. I could easily see KC not scoring a TD for the 2nd week in a row.

Plugging him in over Portis, Foster and CBrown. He was my RB3 on draft day in start 2 league, but its more Portis' latest ding and the prescence of Betts, I'm not exactly starting APminny with confidence.

Start 2 RBs and a FLEX, and I am happily starting Addai, ADP, and A Green (14 teams)

*Easy choice for me though since K Jones is not healthy, Betts and Morency are not to hard to pass over.
