Is Baseball Back? (1 Viewer)

Certainly Baseball has been struggling a bit due to the steroid era and general indifference toward the sport.

However.. lately, it seems, that the sport is coming back a bit. It hit me today that I know a LOT of people who've switched to the dish solely because of the Extra Innings exclusive (I'm sure many of you are like this with regards to Sunday Ticket). Apparently it's not just me...

Pretty good idea by Cox to try to retain the business. I'd be selling Cable stocks right now (comcast/cox/etc... whichever are public)... I have a feeling this will sting a bit.

I think that those who complain about steroids and strikes were not very big fans of the sport to begin with and instead use it them as excuses to run the game down. Football has had steroid, illegal substance, criminal activity and bad attitude problems amongst a number of its players and noone complains. Hockey went on strike and the die hards ignored that. Although the salary cap argument is a tiny bit valid....one cannot ignore the fact that small market teams have done well in the past 10 years.

last seven years we've had how many world series winners? That ties the longest streak in the history of the game.
