that wasn't a long paragraph... let alone post. (you probably got reading fatigue after 'that'... sorry)didnt read your long post but answer to title of topic is "NO"
So week 9?He's a solid player, but considering that apparently Russell signed, Curry may have a rookie QB throwing to him once the Raiders are mathimatically eliminated from the playoffs.
A rookie QB is not a good thing for a WR.
Worrying about a rookie QB that may or may not start in a few months seems silly to me.He's a solid player, but considering that apparently Russell signed, Curry may have a rookie QB throwing to him once the Raiders are mathimatically eliminated from the playoffs.

The question was "Is Curry a Starter Every Week" so I looked further down the road.Worrying about a rookie QB that may or may not start in a few months seems silly to me.He's a solid player, but considering that apparently Russell signed, Curry may have a rookie QB throwing to him once the Raiders are mathimatically eliminated from the playoffs.

Curry is a solid WR3 option, I would say.
WR2 in ppr leagues.Sea Bass said:He is currently a decent wr3.
funny. those are the EXACT 2 WRs I'm deciding on for next week in one of my leagues. For the entire season, all things considered including potential for injury, I think I likeMarshall. For the short term, I plan on riding Currey til he drops. That said, Denver plays the Raiders this weekend and I'm leaning towards Marshallcuz of the better matchup. Still undecided.Who has higher upside (NOT WDIS, I DON'T HAVE EITHER)...Currey or Marshall?????
His hammy is fine. Don't know where/how it was reported that he had a hammy issue. I've checked a dozen places and there's nothing to report.hammy update?

IIRC, KFFL, Rotoworld, and Yahoo all use the same information. No one else is reporting it but them and I have no idea where they got it from. Well, he probably isn't going to get 12 targets a week. I would figure he gets like 135 targets total (15 weeks x 9 targets/wk) and catches 67% (he caught 70% last year and 76% in '04) of them, so ~90 catches. At say 12 yds/catch that is 1,080 yards. Take your guess on TDs, but I would think 4-6 sounds like a reasonable guess.Has anyone projected his stats out to 16 games yet?
last 4 games of 06 seasontargets/catches9/814/913/118/5i don't think your estimate is too far off given the last 5 games he's played. However, I think there is some upside in targets given the last 5 games played.Although i think the TD's will be in the 6-8 range. More like 2004 than injury plagued 2005/6Well, he probably isn't going to get 12 targets a week. I can't see Russell getting on the field at all this year. When you miss training camp it curbs your learning. They don't have time during the week to teach him the playbook and get him reps. He may get scout team reps, but that is not going to help him. He will learn behind McCown and Cpepp this year, and even if the Raiders suck bad, I can't see them giving him the ball. Next year, he will have all mini camps, preseason games, etc. to be ready. Remember McNair did not play at all during his first year. Russell is sitting, and Curry could be a stud all yearin start 3 wr leagues, as long as he isn't on the injury report, absolutely start him regardless of matchupwhenever he's been giving opportunity/health, he's producedthis kid has real talent and I'm calling top 10 numbers at the end of the year (if he plays at least 15 games)as mentioned before, russell would hurt his value, but i really can't see him getting on the field before at least week 8
but the only game he started was the 6-110-1Against Denver the past three years, Curry has posted:2-25-06-110-10-0-02-11-0
you are probably right, i was just worst case scenario"ing"I can't see Russell getting on the field at all this year. When you miss training camp it curbs your learning. I don't disagree that there is upside to both targets and TDs. And Josh McCown is? He played freaken WR for the Lions last year.I don't think Curry is an every week starter. Detroit has one of the bottom 3 secondaries in the league. If he's going against a trash defense and he's healthy, he's a start. He's a solid player, but considering that apparently Russell signed, Curry may have a rookie QB throwing to him once the Raiders are mathimatically eliminated from the playoffs.

I suspect it will be several weeks if not months before we see Russell.1. Detroit- Worst pass defense in the NFL2. McCown shattered his index finger3. Russell signed a contract.I would deal Curry as fast as possible. Not saying he is not a good WR, but things will go downhill fast when Russell takes over.
Thanks for your thoughts.Curry>Welker>ARE>Jennings.This is waht I'm thinking via waivers.Waaaayyyyy above Jennings & Welker.Jennings hasn't looked particularly great and could conceivably lose his job at some point, and it will be very difficult to predict what Welker & Stallworth do in any given week. Curry is clearly the #1 option on his team, which counts for a lot in fantasy. And Culpepper > McCown, I think. Definitely do not expect Russell to get in there very soon, if at all this year.I'm keeping him benched this week because I already have 3 solid options and am scared of Denver...but if you're down to an Isaac Bruce or someone, I may take a shot with him.-Josh
