Is Dez Bryant 14? (1 Viewer)

Dez Bryant received a criminal trespass warning from off-duty police officers at Dallas area shopping Saturday.

Analysis: Bryant and his friends made a scene after they were asked to leave the mall for wearing their pants too low and exposing their underwear. Bryant reportedly has a history of disturbances at the mall, and he's been told not to come back for three months. It's hard to imagine the warning will get Bryant to keep his pants off the ground, much to General Larry Platt's dismay.

Pants on the ground, pants on the ground

Lookin' like a fool with your pants on the ground

With the gold in your mouth, hat turned sideways, pants hit the ground

Call yourself a cool cat, lookin' like a fool

Walkin' downtown with your pants on the ground

Giddy up hey get your pants off the ground!

Before we jump to conclusions, we should find out if he had any ants in his pants. Because I think James Brown said it best "I got ants in my pants and I need to dance!"

The details for FWIWhttp://www.wfaa.com/news/crime/Dez-Bryant-warned-after-NorthPark-disturbance-118467614.html
I think the most disturbing part of that story was his tweet, "The real story has been put out on 103.3.. It's really a non story..the media need something to talk about.anyway how has everyone day been?"Does he really think it's O.K. that a face of the Cowboys organization act in this manner? As an owner I could care less. Dallas seems to have a track record of looking the other way when it comes to character issues as long as the on the field production is there.

What off duty cops stop someone for this? Dez might very well be a punk, but that is ridiculous .
Not as ridiculous as his response:"Mr. Bryant’s response to the request was profanity laced and [NorthPark] center representatives felt the outburst merited a request for Mr. Bryant to leave the premises," according to a Dallas police statement issued Tuesday evening."What the [expletive] are you stopping me, like I stole something," Bryant was quoted as saying by a News 8 source. "I'm not leaving until my attorney and my representative get here."Police said Bryant continued cursing as the off-duty officers escorted him to his vehicle."Mr. Bryant entered his vehicle but parked in a fire lane still refusing to leave, necessitating a request for on-duty officers to respond to the location," the Dallas police statement said.

Wow, Shark pool never fails.

He will be out of the league in 2 years, he must be 14 because he has his own style, lol, the fact that I share the earth with people who think like this scares me, maybe we should be more worried why a guy cant wear his clothes the way he wants without being harrassed.

An opinion is fine, as long as ur educated on the topic and show no bias, but here people think with emotions and the way they personally feel, then about whats right.

I dont like how old people wear slacks or rednecks wear tight jeans and cowboy hats, but that dont mean its wrong or they should be harrassed.

Also, with wars in the middle east, oil slicks still in the gulf coast, and tsunamis earthquakes and nuclear reactors blowing up in Japan, that we have bigger things to worry about....not Dez Bryants pants.

And I'm still laughing that a person said he would be out of the league in 2 years because of pants, lmao, but then again only 35% of Americans have common sense.

I don't care how he wears his pants, if he wants to look like a janitor that's his business. He does sound like a turd for sitting in the red zone, shows a lack of common sense that he doesn't know when to put his emotions in check, a maturity issue really. This is very minor though when you realize there are guys like ben roethlisberger around or others.

 Overreact much? My guess is that you are one of those people who #####es when you get a speeding ticket and thinks cops should spend more time finding the murderers, right?

Ultimately this appears a non story, as NFL athletes do FAR FAR worse all the time and keep their jobs. That said, I do think the cumulative example of all these "minor" incidents lends credence to the notion that Dez is disturbingly immature for someone that the Cowboys are trying to build their offense around. As an Eagles fan, that's A-OK by me, though.

You are 100% completely missing the point. The problem has very little to do with how he wears his pants, it was his reaction. Also go ahead and try to wear your underwear in a store, they would react the same way to you. There are children all over malls, as a business they aren't willing to sacrifice customers so people can wear underwear in their establishement.

I was surprised that he got a 16 on the Wonderlic- he must have been tutored. At OK State they had special assistants with signs on the sideline just for Bryant to tell him what to do on every play. Romo got tired on telling him what to do in the huddle according to Cowboy sources, Kitna made special efforts each play to tell "no clue" what to do and got better results later in the season.I doubt if he is literate and still a young punk, it is surprising he has no street smarts...Not on my draft pick up list....

Hows everyone look down here from the high horse you think you are on?LOL, I love the over react statement, considering this thread is based off an over reaction about a guys pants.

And I have seen people wear boxers in the store, infact I sent an intern of mine on my former TV show in one to prove a point, and I did prove it as no one cared. Since when is it any different from a bathing suit? Cuz I see women wear there bikini tops which are similar to bras.

Also as far as B****in when I get a ticket, yes, cuz who likes tickets.

So you wore underwear in a store and see people wearing boxers in stores and don't think it's odd.You obv have very good judgement.

So hanging out in malls with friends when you are 23 and wearing underwear is normal in your life, but I can assure you 99.9% of normal humans find that bizarre.

What off duty cops stop someone for this? Dez might very well be a punk, but that is ridiculous .

Hey, the whole thing is ridiculous. But I disagree that his response was worse. In fact, I would like to know how often this happens at this mall. is there an army of underwear police? Paid to enforce the "rules" as Brong stated above (what rule, by the way?), and working tirelessly from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., making sure no one sees anyone else's boxer shorts. And what about bras? I see them every day, peeking out of tops, and sometimes just plain EXPOSED under a tank top!!

I don't understand how the sag ever caught on as a style. My understanding is it started in prisons. The only reason I can think of to wear your pants like that in prison would be as a courtesy to give your cell mate easier access when he makes his move.

Surprised no one's brought this up yet...

Three or four different incidents at the same mall?! Suggests that Bryant is an accident waiting to happen when you pair that info with the other bits and pieces that are out there.

This kid was raised with the best of them...seriously, what did anyone expect his reaction to be? No doubt everyone here has seen his type before and we all think the same thing. If you didn't think it, then you're one of them...

this kid is a complete fool.

over/under until he is out of the league suspended = 2.5 yrs.
Kid has crazy talent, so out of the league isn't very realistic. His immaturity and history of repeating his mistakes indicates he will continue down this path until he starts to care. Being suspended at some point in the next few years probably wouldn't surprise anyone including Dez.

I think you are all missing the point that he had prior incidents at said mall. It wasn't just one issue, it seems there is a history there. I would be curious to see what it is if anyone can find anything.ETA: What TV show were you on?

Probably a rule the mall owner has that doesn't allow (want) to attract customers who walk around with pants below their butt. You are seriously surprised? Come on, you know why, they are trying to attract a different customer and keep some kind of image they feel is better for biz. It's too gang-banger looking or whatever you want to call it. Now, whether any of that is right or wrong and all is a different story but let's be honest, all they care about is the buck. A Dallas mall that doesn't want young, black dudes showing off their drawers around? Yeah, I'm as shocked as you are.

You don't have to be very bright to realize that this issue isn't about boxers being exposed.1. I strongly suspect that this wasn't the first "pants on the ground" issue at this mall.2.It sounds like maybe this wasn't the first "offense" by Bryant and his "crew" either. If that is the case, how long does it take to learn the lesson that you aren't above the "socially acceptable" rules. I doubt there are "rules" posted in the mall---however most people have this internal voice called common sense---does Bryant have this said voice, or did God forget to install it?3. Maybe the "mall cop" just finished dealing with another crew and wasn't feeling overly patient and gracious at the time.(not that any of us would ever treat others that way)4. Irregardless of race, the stereotype of those that wear their pants hanging off their butts is not a good one. 95% of those I see come with a lot of negative baggage. They tend to be foul mouthed punks that don't care what they say or who they say it around. This always leads to trouble, both with peers as well as responsible adults. As a Father, I don't want my young boys exposed to that crap---and I sure don't want to deal with it. Nor do I want my wife looked up and down and offered rude sexual comments. One of the last times I witnessed one of these "crews", they had been walking around our local mall purposely spilling Mountain Dew on the floor every 20 feet or so. My family had the unfortunate "pleasure" of following behind them. A woman came walking out of a store in front of us carrying her baby daughter, slipped on the soda and took a fast and hard fall to the floor. Thankfully the baby was fine, and Mom will heal---but I alerted those in charge. No sooner did I alert them, we all heard a glass bottle smash on the floor downstairs---another "crew" of pants on the ground punks had dropped a bottle of Yoo-Hoo in the middle of the floor. The store owner was clearly upset and now there was yet another "wet cleanup in isle 4". All that to say, if you hang out with FOOLS you suffer the same consequences irregardless of whether it was ALL his fault or not.5. If Bryan ISN'T a fool, he shouldn't have any more problems with Mall Cops now should he?6. Bryant's overreaction (made a scene---vulgarities, then he parks illegally like a little child throwing a temper tantrum?) exposes his immaturity. He wasn't asked to leave until he flipped out. Although there is no surprise there given his gangsta attitude that don't take no crap from nobody, right? Or was it his entitled star status as an athlete coming up through the ranks and never hearing the word "no" as long as he performed on the field? Or is it just that he's an arrogant fool?7. Bryant needs a mentor NOT NAMED ROY WILLIAMS to teach him the ropes of life before he destroys his...you hear that, Jerrah? We know you read FBG!8. I hope the kid learns his lesson and just buys his big house, hires his personal shoppers, and sequesters himself in that house for the next 15 years of his life until he's done playing NFL football. Once he is done, or hurt, nobody will care about him anymore anyway. Shoot, he could walk around naked all day if he goes this route.9. Any chance I could get the last 20 minutes of my life back? :bag:
