I'm far less concerned about getting passed over politically than I am about paying into Social Security my whole working life and having it vanish just as I retire.
I think that's where politicians have their biggest disconnect. Most of them have enough money not to even have that type of thing cross their mind. While of course lots of people (voters) do.

IMO we are going to get passed by for quite a few reasons. The main reasons though are that we are sandwiched between two larger and more vocal generations. ( Boomers and Millennials).
We are also what I like to call a bridge generation. We share a lot of the same values from Boomers and Millennials.

I've long thought the Generation had great compassion for its fellow man that had a conservatism belying its unorthodox tendencies and a clarity for speaking truth. Lets see how this generation fares before we write it off. One thing: Its leaders, should they arrive, will come from strange places but from deep wellsprings.
