Obviously..........the two headed monster isn't as appealing as just one of those talented young studs playing.

Thanks in advance.

Hernandez back; Woodhead cleared

January, 11, 2011 1:25PM

By Mike Rodak

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Rookie tight end Aaron Hernandez, who missed the final two games of the regular-season with a hip injury, returned to practice today.

The health of Hernandez is an important pre-game storyline as he has had success against the Jets this season, totaling nine receptions for 152 yards in two games, with some impressive work after the catch.

Elsewhere on the injury front, running back Danny Woodhead has been cleared for contact after sustaining a head injury in the season finale. Woodhead practiced with a red, non-contact jersey last week, but he had his regular jersey on today.

Meanwhile, defensive lineman Myron Pryor (back injury) and outside linebacker Jermaine Cunningham (calf injury) were the lone players not spotted at the start of practice. Depth along the defensive line is one of the Patriots' top concerns entering the game, while Cunningham's injury might be related to the team signing Marques Murrell last week.

The Patriots were in full pads for the workout.
