You have no reason to trade him, especially if Cutler is your only other QB. Romo has TONS of talent around him and he is the real deal. The guy could be headed for a top 5 QB year. Not quite sure I understand why you would want to trade a stud like that.Actually Jay Cutler is my back up, but i was just trying to see what everyone thought about Romo moving forward after his huge week 1 performance.
So do you think that the person you are trading him too isn't going to look at who he plays in the coming weeks? Not really sure why you sell a QB who right now, is in a great system to rack up yardage and TDs. Guy dumps off passes to barber and gets 40 passing yards...then hits Owens on bombs, left and right. He is going to have bad games just like everyone else thats not named peyton manning...and you wont get manning for romoHis value won't be higher than it is now. Is this the shark move?DaTruth
I agree. and fixedI other words, dont trade him unless you can get back some EXTREMELY GOOD value.
Why would you trade him? Is your reasoning really one game against the Bears. One game of the 16 game fantasy season? Are you kiddin me? If you have that much confidence in your back-up then start him that week and then ride Romo Vs match ups you like, but these guppies who trade because of a scary game make me laugh. His value won't be higher than it is now. Is this the shark move?DaTruth
The shark move is kind of a dipping then lifting motion with your arm. Some times refered to as the swim move. But the shark move is more popular at parties. His value won't be higher than it is now. Is this the shark move?DaTruth
He's the perfect QBBC guy - play matchups with him. Don't like him @ Mia or against the Bears. 5 TD's to the bench for me.
I think Romo will do pretty good against Chicago considering the injuries sustained by the Bears.
No, they did not, Mike Brown has been injured for the last 3 years actually 4, and no knowledgeable Bear fan expected Brown to be a part of the team the whole year considering his injuries. He is good but they have done allright with out him for the last 2 yearsVasher, TillmanI think Romo will do pretty good against Chicago considering the injuries sustained by the Bears. The bears pass defense will suffer they lost their best db for the year...
Do you realize that Miami just lost their best DB? As long as o-line can withhold the blitz, his guys will be open yet again. He's the perfect QBBC guy - play matchups with him. Don't like him @ Mia or against the Bears. 5 TD's to the bench for me.
I have that same decision but I have to roll with Romo until he shows me something that warrants a benching. I think Miami will get torched. Travis Daniels didn't look that good vs. Wash. And Yeremiah Bell is out for the season, yikes. Jason Allen will probably be moved back to safety. I'm sure Dallas will move TO all around to exploit a very thin secondary. He's the perfect QBBC guy - play matchups with him. Don't like him @ Mia or against the Bears. 5 TD's to the bench for me.I like it. I think you play match-ups with every single QB in the league except for Manning...maybe Brady, at this point. I'm going with Cutler this week...not sure I trust Romo down in Miami. Would I trade Romo, though? With Cutler in the wings? Hell no. It'd probably be hard to get something of his value in his return, anyway, considering the amount of hatred for the guy.
Brown is always hurt. They cannot miss what they never had.No, they did not, Mike Brown has been injured for the last 3 years actually 4, and no knowledgeable Bear fan expected Brown to be a part of the team the whole year considering his injuries. Romo will have an average game against the Bears
The real question is why would someone sign every post they make, when the name is already displayed on the left side ?
FixedPhew, that was a close call. You almost ran the risk of us not knowing who posted that.Actually Jay Cutler is my back up, but i was just trying to see what everyone thought about Romo moving forward after his huge week 1 performance.

What if you can get Marvin Harrison for him?He is a solid QB. He was solid for all of last season and has shown that he could easily have another probowl season. He has a great running game and is likely to end up with a ton of time to throw the ball and betwee WItten and TO, has some NICE targets to throw to. Unless he is a backup to Peyton or Brady, I would keep him on YOUR roster. Why let someone beat you with him later.

I think you're missing EG's bigger point. If you get very good value for ANY player, no matter who he is, you make the deal. You do it immediately, if not sooner. What if you can get Marvin Harrison for him?He is a solid QB. Well that is a valid trade, one that I would probably jump one, especially if you have other servicable QBs. But for arguments sake, I wouldn't get rid of Romo simply because he had a good week. I think there are many more good weeks to come. Trading for him has potential value and this past week, IMO was NOT a fluke like the "sell high" tag suggests.Romo for Harrision = trading a solid player for a solid player. What if you can get Marvin Harrison for him?He is a solid QB.
