Is L.McCoy undervalued? (1 Viewer)

Not a fan at all. Was intrigued when he came out but watching him in the NFL really lowered my opinion. The bad benchmarks he had at the combine really showed that it is a real indicator of lower body strength. If I want a dancer who will go for 20 yards and follow it up by a bunch of 3-5 yard losses then McCoy is my top guy. If he doesn't change his style quick he won't be the number one in Philly long.

So what are the Philly coaches seeing that you are not to put so much faith in the kid?

He is the best rb they have. He is not horrible, just leaves a lot to be desired. If he changes his style he should stick, if he dances for losses on a consistent basis I expect Philly to look elsewhere as soon as next offseason. The good thing is he has a whole year minimum to improve. Agree or disagree?

McCoy is like Joseph Addai. Marginal talent in a good situation. Unlike Addai, he doesn't have Peyton Manning passing to him or an extremely stable offensive line

I love me some Pitt Panthers, but I generally avoid McCoy

Highs and lows from Lehigh

Training camp is finally, mercifully over. The Eagles broke camp at Lehigh on Wednesday morning and will resume practices at the NovaCare Complex after Friday’s exhibition. Here’s my quick breakdown of the studs and duds from Lehigh after camp:

OFFENSIVE STANDOUT

LeSean McCoy can handle the workload of a No. 1 back. He’ll probably play second fiddle to the passing game but he cut down the extra shakes and bakes before hitting the hole and shored up his pass catching out of the the backfield and slot.

A couple of things I heard about McCoy in camp:-He specifically worked on his lower body strength this off-season.-He did a lot less dancing and was hitting the hole faster.-He has the attitude of a starter now. Even though he was starting last year, I don't think he was comfortable in thatposition. Now he has accepted the role.I think he will be very effective in the touches he gets. He still may not get as many touches as people like, but I do thinkhe will be consistent and will be valuable. He is somebody to target if he falls far enough.

Its hard to project a RB that will rely on the passing game for a lot of his production. Generally, for a RB to be used heavily in the passing game, he needs the offensive line to play well. If they don't play well, he's blocking a lot more than you would like. If they play well, then he'll get a good number of receptions.

We all know Reid will throw the ball 70% of the time. What people need to look for, is how well that OL is playing.

No reason to be impressed, but it wasn't McCoy running poorly as much as it was the Bengal DLine dominating the Philly OLine. Tough to run when defensive ends and tackles are in the backfield about the time you take the handoff. That's working against Kolb and the Philly receivers, too.

As an Iggles homer, no.

He's just not THAT good. Until he proves me wrong, I expect to see some form of RBBC with Bell take shape by mid season.

Only 5 games in, so anything can still happen. But thus far, he is looking good.

Top ranked RB in PPR formats; 3rd ranked RB in non-PPR formats.

82-1

128-3

61-0

174-0

138-1

5 game totals:

583 total yards - 28 receptions - 5 TDs

yea I wish I would of took a chance on him. Apparently he was a gym rat this offseason and added lower strength/bulk -at least that what Im hearing during the games over and over.. kind of like when they keep repeating how Gates used to play basketball..
