Is Larry Fitzgerald startable this weekend? (1 Viewer)

Thank god my league counts all 4 quarters of games.Otherwise I might be whining like some of you who must be in 1st Half or 3rd Quarter Only Leagues.
 I can't believe people make those posts before the game is over.
It's all part of the plan, my man. Sometimes my guys need a kick in the pants. More often than not it works, so it's a shtick I like.Check the Manningham thread -- same thing.

I'd probably start Fitz if nobody was at QB. They just hike the ball and it flies into the backfield and rolls around. Fitz would still find a way to catch a few passes and grab a TD here and there.

all :goodposting:

He basically neutralized my opponents knock out punch of Arian foster and got me the win. Nevah bench your studs.

Agreed - butFitz hasn;t been playing like a stud. YOu can look at the last 10 weeks and find you probably would have been better off benching him several times

I've had to play against Fitz twice so far this season. In those two games, he's put up 295 yards and 3 TDs.. I'm matched up against him again next week (2 week playoff format) and not looking forward to it

Tough matchup next week vs. Joe Haden
Particularly if Kolb is playing, I am going to be struggling all week on starting Santana Moss @ NYG over him.
The Browns haven't faced any receivers the caliber of Fitzgerald this season. Pittsburgh is by far the best passing team they've faced, and they produced 247 yards and two scores to their WRs. Haden was also covering Antonio Brown on his late TD.Benching Larry Fitzgerald this week because of the "matchup" is a mistake.

this sounds eerily similar to what happens when Kolb is playing QB.

I think you made my point for me. Like I said:

The Browns haven't faced any receivers the caliber of Fitzgerald this season.
The only WR on that list who's been a legitimate fantasy starter in 2011 is A.J. Green. He had a TD against them in his first career game and 110 yards in his second. The level of competition has really skewed the numbers for the Browns.

Starting him this week after a bye last week.

Unlike others I do have top receivers to choose from.

For the record he was the first receiver on my lineup, I believe he'll outperform Bryant, Nicks and Graham and will never bench him again after the Philly debacle.

For the love of god (and my fantasy playoff game this weekend) - LET SKELTON PLAY.
Im not sure what the exact stat line with fitz when kolb or skelton starts but he seems to have much better FF days with Skelton under center... Im hoping for a Skelton start this week as well!!!

I have a bye this week so I am hoping Kolb comes in, feels a headache coming on and goes back the bench where it is determined that the concussion is a little worse than initially believed and he is placed on IR since the season is lost anyway. Although, perhaps it serves as nice motivation for Skelton to see Kolb sitting over there with the big contract...
