Is NFL Fantasy Football Popular Outside the USA? (1 Viewer)

How serious is it treated in your circle of friends in your part of the world? Do you have 12 friends that are into it and have a league or are you forced to play in free internet leagues that have USA owners?

I'm just interested to hear if there are serious fans and how does american football affect your everyday life (customs, game day rituals, etc.).

Welcome fellow football fanatics from around the world!

I have seen interest in folks from England and Australia and the guys I talked to in both instances said it was growing -- American football itself does ok, and fantasy follows, though a little slowly.

I'm in Vancouver Canada and I have a very hard time finding local guys to form a league. I know it is a little bigger in Toronto but out west it is not nearly as big. I know a handful of guys of guys who are pretty hardcore NFL fans but not into FFB. I play in 2 online leagues with guys from all over the USA and I non online league made up of guys from New York/ NJ/ and Philly. I'm the one guy who has to conference call in to all of our meetings.

I'm coming from germany and I'm the commish of 3 fantasy-football-leagues (and one hockey-league). One is a dynasty league, this is my newest league - we're only in the 3rd season.

I have also 2 keeper leagues, one is in the 10th season, the other is in the 9th season.

As you see: I love fantasy football !!!

have a nice day,

cu

Playing in three leagues composed of guys from Montreal and the surroundings... one is a 12 teams [DYNASTY] w/IDP league (the most competitive / big money) that has been running for 8 years now...

It's a tight bunch - SuperBowl party every year at one of the guys place...

But the best time of the year is our "annual trip to a NFL game"... we have been to Buffalo (twice) / Philadelphia (The Vet) / NY (Jets vs Giants game and another Jets game) / New England... and are going to Washington in two weeks - Cowboys vs Redskins... you should see the amount of trade talks during these 10 or so hour drives (we rent a minibus!)... we have to give access to the pc to the commish's wife to make sure trades go through prior to kickoff on that weekend (you should see this - hilarious... "yes honey - Rod Smith / not Rob Smith nor Bob Smith!")... I'm looking forward to that weekend all year long...
