I like the idea of the contest and am willing to pay to enter, but I really have no need for the subscription.

Is there any middle ground?

If not, I guess I will just keep track of my "hypothetical" team in this thread and track how I would have done manually.

Not that I know of, but it's what $22 to subscribe? Subscribe just for the contest and view it as paying $22 to enter a contest with free bonuses like projections and email updates with injury/weather/suspensions reports.

Yeah, most of that stuff you can get off these boards but sometimes you don't have time to surf the topics and it's nice to open up an email and see that so and so has been ruled out for the game.

The contest is worth the subscription price. Unless you exit in week 2, you will easily get $26 worth of entertainment out of the contest.

I have been a member for years now, and have yet to even read what the contest is or how to play. I'm just not a fan of contests--I don't even pre-order the magazine just to avoid the whole golden ticket thing. To bad I can't just give my spot away so it could get some use.
