Is there really any hope? (1 Viewer)

325/3.

Brady will have this by halftime and then he will sit the 2nd half. I understand the argument here on running up the score, but Belechick isn't THAT stupid. Once they have a 28-0 lead, they will turn it over to the back-up and yet continue to score.

I completely agree with the post above that mentioned the part of going after Brady's knees if he keeps scoring at will. They are going for the undefeated season and a Superbowl ring. I don't think that Belechick takes the chance on Brady getting hurt on a stupid fluke play in the 4th quarter, and NE up 48-7.

Maybe it's wishful thinking to hope for just 325/3 since I play against Brady, Gore, and Edwards this week.
for sure it wishful thinking, he will probably sit the 4th quarter, and if he is the damage will be done all ready because they will be up by 40+....

I agree. Bill doesn't respect weakness. If he sees weakness he just goes for it on 4th down and refuses to kick field goals. Brady doesn't come out until the middle of the 4th quarter. The only hope you have against Brady is if his opponent can control the ball and eat up a ton of clock. Their secondary also has to intimidate the Patriot receiver corp. I don't think the Jets can do that.

Facing him in two leagues this week.

my team:

Hasselbeck

Grant

MBIII (just lost Bush)

FWP

Edwards

Holt

Gates

Dawson

Titans D

His team:

Brady

W McGahee

F Taylor

L Maroney

Burress

D Mason

H Miller

S Graham

Colts D

The guy in our league sat Brady for Romo this week (don't ask why he has both in a 12 team league) and Moss as well and I need 28 points in a traditional scoring league with Brees and Norwood out to beat him. If he holds on he's gonna win the league IMO.
Hello overthinking......Wow if he gets knocked out, you guys should give him tons of crap. I like Romo, but Brady is just Dominating no matter who...

I'm on both sides of the fence on this one this week. I'm starting Brady in one league and going against him in another. Also I have Moss and Jennings on my side in the league where I don't have Brady, and play against Moss and Jennings in the league where I do have Brady.

I think people facing off against Brady this weekend should root for horrible weather. It looks like there could be either a major rain storm or major snow storm hitting Boston just in time to ruin Brady owners (too bad my team was eliminated by the Brady owner this past week). From the Boston forecast discussion from the national weather service

IMPROVING CONDITIONS FRI WITH SEASONABLE TEMPS THEN ANOTHER SURGE OF

COLD AIR FOR FRI NIGHT/SAT FOLLOWING NORTHERN STREAM SHORTWAVE

PASSAGE AND SECONDARY FRONT. COLD AND DRY SAT WITH HIGH PRES IN

CONTROL. TEMPS MAY STRUGGLE TO REACH 30 DEGREES ACROSS MUCH OF

SNE.

THERE IS CONSIDERABLE MODEL SPREAD REAGARDING COASTAL STORM FOR SAT

NIGHT/SUN. ECMWF IS THE MOST AMPLIFIED OF THE MODEL SOLUTIONS WITH

THE UKMET NOT FAR BEHIND. OP GFS IS LEAST AMPLIFIED WITH COASTAL

STORM FURTHEST OFFSHORE. HOWEVER...MAJORITY OF ENSEMBLE MEMMBERS

ARE FURTHER WEST THAN OP GFS. GIVEN UNCERTAINTY THIS FAR OUT...WE

LEANED TOWARD GEFS MEAN WHICH BRINGS COASTAL STORM CLOSE ENOUGH FOR

POSSIBLE SIGNIFICANT WINTER EVENT SAT NIGHT/SUN. WE WILL HAVE CHC

SNOW FOR NOW...BUT CONFIDENCE IN DETAILS IS VERY LOW AS ENVELOPE OF

SOLUTIONS RANGE FROM A SIGNIFICANT SNOW EVENT TO ECMWF GIVING A SNOW

TO HEAVY RAIN/ICE SCENARIO WITH INSIDE RUNNER. STILL PLENTY OF TIME

FOR CHANGE.

If you're facing Brady this week better hope for high winds heavy rain/snow - that will certainly slow down the NE offense in a big way.

If I win this week I play Brady/Moss vs. Miami and bad weather is my only hope. I think Brady will be better vs. the Jets just because of the hate factor but the Miami matchup won't be much better.
