Is this overpaying? (1 Viewer)

14 team PPR, my roster is:

Wilson, Wentz
Julio, Diggs, Garcon, MBryant
Cook, Howard, Mixon, DHenry, Riddick
Gronk, Ebron

I really like my team compared to the others, but I'm thinking of selling high on Diggs.  The guy most interested in him has Evans and Brandin Cooks, but only has Ingram, Buck Allen, James White, and Powell at RB.

Already tried to do Diggs for Evans straight up, but he's not biting.  He countered with Diggs+Mixon for Evans, I told him that was too steep.

What do you think of a counter of Diggs+Howard for Evans+Ingram?  Is it overpaying by adding Howard in there?

If that's the counter, I stay where you're at. Howard is going to continue to get more volume than Ingram and maybe getting Trubisky in there actually opens up the field for him because I see him being more aggressive downfield (even though their receivers suck).

Yes, I think that is an overpay.

Everyone wants to sell high on Diggs, but that is not high. He's clearly building an expected regression into the value, and I honestly think Diggs is going to be a top 10.

I wouldn't force any trades at this point.  Like you said, your team is really solid.  Always look to improve but don't necessarily overpay at this point in the season.  As you get closer to the playoffs where depth becomes less important I would look to make a move like the one you outlined.

My counter would be Henry plus Diggs for Evans.  He gets the "upside" of Henry and you get to keep your top 3 RB's with a huge upgrade at WR.

Yeah, this would be my counter. I've gained a huge amount of respect for Howard over the last two games. That shoulder is going to force him to miss some games at some point if he wants it to heal, and I was absolutely shocked the coaching staff was still running him after the game was well out of hand. But even with the likelihood of him missing 1-3 games at some point this season, I think he's far too valuable to give up when paired with a player like Diggs. Evens is top 5 WR talent, but Howard is close enough to top 5 to not be worth arguing about and certainly top 10. You'd be getting a stud, but overall I think you weaken your team.
