I'm not a Giants fan, and I am a Patriots hater.

I'll volunteer that information freely. Now you'll claim that my Hate for NE has tainted my view.. But in reality, My hate was brewed from their cheating. I did respect what the Patriots had accomplished before it was proven that they cheated in the process of there accomplishments.. I am a Panthers fan, and a Bills fan.. 2 reasons there to dislike the Patriots obviously.. But finding out that they were cheaters, and seeing how easily they dissected the Panthers def during SBXXXVIII, which they won by a last minute field goal is pretty suspicious if you ask me. Panthers had one of the best def's in the league that year, and after the game many of the Carolina def players said it seemed like the Pats knew the def play calling..Patriots are proven cheaters, and have never won a SB by more than 4 points, 2 of which were decided by last minute field goals if I'm not mistaken.. If they were not cheating, stands to reason the games would have likely ended differently.. So, until they win one post spygate, you're stuck with the cheater monicker.

Correction, when you make the claim "everyone does it" the burden of proof is on you..

And im saying that I will worry about my claim, when he has proven:-that it had any effect on anything.

-if it did how much.

-and that it had anything to do with the prior success of the team.

-that people besides the patriots werent doing it.

First of all, that question is more than uninformed, they were videotaping the practices in broad daylight at a stadium, in clear view of everyone - they were doing it because everyone was doing it, the reason they got in trouble is Belichick was manipulating the system in a way the League didnt appreciate, thus they were fined and penalized.Second, my initial comment was that Eli deserved respect before this playoff run and more than half (a reasonable estimation) that he is receiving now is coming from Patriots haters, not Giants fans (or people that just legitimately respect him/them now). Believe it or not, people can like teams from the boston area AND new york, I have nothing but praise for Eli and the Giants, but the Patriots haters are the highest caliber mouth breathers ive ever seen, rivaled only by Jets and Tebow fans.

I havn't really investigated this topic...but this post is extremely intriguing to me. Living In mass(Miserable for sports if your not a homer....ugh) , I find it funny how all these spygate/ opposing views on the patriots have avoided me...Very, very interesting.

6 weeks ago, you could find me and maybe 10 people in the eli manning thread giving him his dues and now hes suddenly not only an elite QB, hes obviously better than one of if not the greatest QB to ever play. Must be rough for you haters the other three months of the season when all you guys do is watch the pats win.

On this point... it seems like 3 out of every 4 years I see the Patriots having the easiest schedule in the league. I wince each time.

Usually it was a WR who could stretch defenses, and a CB or two that could shut down the other team's best WRs. They always had a bunch of lunch pail guys for LBs, but I really miss the days of A.Samuel and Ty Law on the defense.
