Is Troy Smith definitely the starter in San Fran this week? (1 Viewer)

Published Thu Nov 11 6:55:00 p.m. ET 2010(Rotoworld) Though head coach Mike Singletary won't make the decision official, coordinator Mike Johnson revealed that his game-plan is geared toward Troy Smith starting this week.Analysis: Troy and Alex Smith are "two different types of quarterback and they require two different types of thought," Johnson said. Troy is definitely the starter, and Alex (shoulder) is unlikely to dress this week. Troy handled all of the first-team reps in Thursday's practice.(Article Link)
Not official, but pretty indicative.

Thank you.

Yes, he's starting this week. Singletary has made it fairly clear Alex Smith is still the starter when healthy, but if Troy has a good game I imagine Alex won't be "healthy" next week.

Agreed, in listening to local talk radio and writers who are around the team, I would be shocked if Alex gets his job back should the niners win this week. Actually I'm not sure he gets his job back either way unless Troy plays terrible.
