Is Vick playing tonight? (1 Viewer)

Bengals suspended WR Chris Henry played quite a bit last night. Any chance we see Vick for a few series? Im interested in seeing if all the distractions from the dog fighting allegations will affect his play.

Not a chance. He's been barred from camp and is almost certain not to take a snap this year. I think his NFL career is over, but for tonight, you can count on him not being in there.

Little presumptuous, are we?Leonard Little killed someone drunk driving and pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter. If someone like Little is still playing, then Vick will still play some time in the future.

He hasn't even been at camp. Why would he just show up at a game and expect to play? He won't even be there.

He can't leave Virginia I believe.

Someone like Little is a pass-rush specialist who you can plug into any defense in the league and have a quality player.Vick is such a hybrid, you have to design your offense around him. Add that to the fact that he's a PR nightmare (in what is, after all, an entertainment business), and he's likely not worth the effort. Hence, I don't think it's far-fetched at all to say that his NFL career is done (should he be found guilty).

 He may catch on with someone, sure. He may play again. Am I being presumptuous? Of course. BUt you need to realize that before he even has the chance to get on the field, he has to stay out of prison. THen, he has to find some owner who will pay him to (1) reduce ticket sales (2) create a PR migraine and (3) gamble that Vick can figure out how to win enough games to overcome (1) and (2).I stand by what I said: I think his NFL career is ovah.

I'm not making any predictions on Vick's future status, but I will say that THIS isn't the same NFL than the one Little had the luck to be apart of during his crisis. Who know's how the Hangin Commish would of handled Little's situation.

Well, there is a new Sheriff in town. Just ask Odel Thurman. The days of killing people and playing the next week (Little, Ray Ray) appear to be OVER. Goodell is on a mission to clean up the league and if that means sacrificing a superstar, so be it. With a conviction rate of 90%, I'd say there is a good chance Vic played his last game in the NFL.

Not comparable. One has nothing to do with the other. Evaluate and judge Vick on his own merits and demerits.

plus he got two more DUI's after he killed someone. Dude is lucky Goodell wasn't the Commish because he certainly wouldn't be playing if he was.

I know one of his was dismissed or found not guilty or something like that by a jury. The state tried to get him on a repeat offender beef, which would have put him in jail and permanently out of a license, but I guess the jury would rather see him on the field. But court result or not, he was definitely driving drunk with a pretty high BAC and should have gone down. If that DUI had happened this off season he would most definitely be applying for wrestling jobs with Pacman.A lot of people seem to forget that the difference between Little and Vick is that Vick's are Federal charges, not state felonies. Little did 6 months in jail and he missed half a season (dunno if it was concurrent). And while Little's crime is much more heinous, Vick's charges are much more serious because there will be more than just what he is currently charged with my the time this goes to trial. The interstate gambling charges are going to kick in and really ruin Bad Newz's day. And, thanks to Little and other's pff field contributions, the NFL is a lot tougher on players now.

Both Little and Vick should be in prison.

Hate to say it, But PETA is a lot more vocal than MADD. Therefore Vick gets major air time for his alleged animal abuse. Little skates. It's not right, but that's the modern media and subsequent political landscape.

Vick will negatively impact a team's image now or in the future, hurting them in the pocketbook.

I agree that his NFL career is likely done.

He's been barred from training camp, but sure, maybe he'll play. Maybe he'll play a bet on a pit bull named "No Prayer".

Breaking News....Mike Vick has decided to cooperate with police,He told them a guy named Ron Mexico did it.

Yep. As I recall it he can't leave the jurisdiction of the court without permission.
