Jabbar Gaffney Arrested (1 Viewer)

Like FSU is the only school that has current/former players getting arrested  Remember, FSU kicked Randy Moss off the team.

It's not his fault...they give those away free to Florida State recruits.
That's why our team is always good, and your team (Colorado State) always sucks.
:lmao: I knew you'd pop up for that.I believe CSU is top 20 in wins over the last 10 years. Although the last two years have been painful (and may have knocked us down a bit), I know they were top 10 in wins not too long ago.

Save the argument about conferences and such, we know. My point is that I can enjoy the taste of victory about as much as anyone. Is it not as sweet? Sure it is. Actually, I enjoy it more. CSU runs a GREAT program with good kids that overachieve. I'll take it. I can root for thugs, pampered bazillionaires, and Superbowls in Pro sports, thank you.

:bowtie:
A lot of FSU players are easy to root for. Over the years, players like Derrick Brooks, Charlie Ward, Drew Weatherford, Leon Washington, were and are all A++++ people. But you never hear about them. I don't particularly care, I don't expect most average people (not necessarily Sonny) to actually abstain from idiotic stereotypes. Almost every college program has its bad seeds. And Bowden has never been on probation, so he must be doing something right.

:bowtie:
I'll stereotype and generalize to my heart's content, thank you. They cheat and you know it. And how could you leave Warrick Dunn off your list of exceptions to the norm? What a stud he is.

Just forgot about him, which is odd as he and Brooks are probably my two favorite Noles. As for the cheating ... :fishing:

The story from the local news here in Philly...

Gaffney was charged with a gun found in his glove box during a traffic stop that occurred in June. The gun was registered to one of Gaffney's passengers. Both Gaffney and the passenger were in possession of permits to carry a firearm - in Texas, but not in New Jersey. Apparently the stop occurred on a bridge in Jersey where Gaffney was driving and made an illegal U-turn in front of the arresting officer. Gaffney subsequently opened his glove box to retrieve his registration information at the officer's request when the officer observed the gun.

It doesn't sound like a real big deal to me. If it was, he would have been charged that evening. He had a permit in Texas and it doesn't appear he was causing a problem.

I don't see this having much fantasy impact. For what it's worth, I didn't see Gaffney having all that much impact on fantasy anyway. I think 650 yards and 4 TDs would be a monster season from him.

EXACTLY.

I heard Tom Heckert on WIP this afternoon while I was leaving Lehigh and he said once Broderick Buntley is done filiming Shrek 3 he will report to camp.

He also said that Dhani Jones played well for them last year...sigh

From what I can see...this entire thread has no merit and should be deleted.

FYI Jason....Moats has been practicing...check the practice blog on Philly's website. Apparently the "injury" was very minor as he only missed half of one workout for it, and one other workout for heat exhaustion. :wall:
