Jacoby Ellsbury (1 Viewer)

Finless

When does he not steal second? I guess when he's slapping longballs. I wasn't completely sold on this kid but he's falling right in line.

Willie Mays? We may be looking back on this post 20 years from now.

since i dropped him for j.d. drew, his playing time seems to have increased ( isn't that always the way it goes!) has he stopped doing the full platoon with crisp? lack of playing time was the reason i dropped him. ( i'd drop hermida, not drew, if i "retrieved" ellsbury)

Crisp is hurt.

Crisp is in danger of totally losing his job to Ellsbury. The kid gets on base all the time and creates havoc.

I respect that little redskin as much as anyone, but lets not get into crazy talk. Crawford has more power batting righty than Ellisbury has lefty.
Crawford hit 11 bombs last year. Oh, the Power! :pickle:
But it doesnt mean Ellisbury has power. You'd be a fool to take Ellisbury over Crawford now or for the next 5 years and thats not a diss on Ellisbury, just praise for CC.

Another leadoff home run tonight

Beautiful drag bunt drags the 1B off the bag.... now let's see if the Angels can stop the inevitable steal of 2nd.

Speed kills.... Ellsbury scores from 1st on Pedroias double down the line.

Arguably the Best 1/2 combo in the majors.... with 1.3 years major league experience between the 2 of them.

Oh, the timing. Two bombs so far for Ellsbaby. :bag:

If Francona restores the platoon when Crisp comes back, he's going to have fantasy owners storming his house with torches and pitchforks.

I'd give Kurt Suzuki a TON of credit if he was able to throw out Ellsbury from 3,000 miles away. :excited:
angels.. sorry. Had a few beers at that point and the GF had just made the joking comment "It's the A's vs the B's (in reference to the hats).

Ellsbury leads the league in Runs Scored. In spite of him not even having enough PAs to qualify as a full-time player.

That's just awesome. he's gotten 16 Hits and scored 19 times... how? 13 Walks. So he's scored 19 of 29 times he's gotten on base. SPEED KILLS :goodposting: (having Pedroia, Ortiz, Manny, Youk hitting behind you doesn't hurt matters either)

from the game recap thread at SoSH:

Ellsbury and Pedroia at the top of the lineup work so well together. Ellsbury's speed forces pitchers to feed Pedroia fastballs and Pedroia's patience and ability to rarely swing and miss make him a perfect 2-hitter. That Ellsbury can score on a double from first just makes it that much sweeter.

What's up with the one long sleeve/one short sleeve deal?!? Trying to keep his arm warm? It was 85 degrees last night.
